curious: is that Alcantara™ or is it suede? There's a big difference. That finger marking is one example.

No, it's not that bad. When you're in the car, it looks fine, however, knowing what the W211 used, and when I touch it (the difference between the two), I know how "crude" this one is in comparison. On a plus note, it seems this stuff can be impervious to abuse and simple to clean any "dirt" off of (not that you'd even see it since it's black
).

Suede looks really impressive. My older Benz has plush. It looks quite good too, however it is hard to clean. I guess cleaning suede is impossible, so certainly it is a solution for owners without small kids.
