HD FM / Sirius/XM radio question.

I have XM in my 2007 Tahoe and I know that occasionally I lose my signal, but it seems that the signal complety drops off once in a while in the E350 - the station will go completely silent for a second or two and then come back. Anyone else experiencing this with their satellite radio in 2011 E350/550?

Does anyone experience the HD FM channels sounding a little 'funny' once in a while? Sometimes after putting it on an HD channel about 3-4 seconds after the channel is on the volume drops or quality changes. Anyone else?

Happens all the time but you can't blame MB on this. The problem is with Sirius and the lack of ground repeaters.

XM is much better.

Thanks. That is what I figured. What about any issues with HD FM? Every get a slightly 'off' sound from HD FM channels?

The same... I think radio first receives signal as normal and then checks for HD and receives it as HD. The biggest difference I noticed on AM stations.

Thanks. Do most people just leave the Logic 7 on all the time? Also, I seem to have my Treble turned down about 4-5 lines below center and bass up 2-3 lines above center. What about others?

I'm a sound fanatic ..so I put maximum for treble and 3 below maximum for bass. Logic 7 is on all time. Of course Harmon Kardon is good stereo, but I think my other stereo in BMW X5, which has premium sound system is better. It sounds more natural..like you actually sit in a concert hall IMO.
But...both of them are very good.

I have found sat reception in the w212 to be much better than in previous accura/Toyota/bmws.

I do notice quality changes in hd radio but I presumed due to going in an out of hd reception lock
