How many CD's can you store on the music register? It's 6GB, yes? So, I figure, if they're uncompressed, maybe only 10 -- if it compresses them to MP3, maybe more like 100?

I only put 3 on and it barely dented the capacity...so I am guessing it is mp3 or some other condensed format.
I put 7 CD's and it used only about 1G of spaces, so I think 20-25 can fit there.

I have recorded over 70 CD's to Music Register and have almost a GB of memory remaining.
All depends on how long the CD's are. BTW, the system refers to them as folders or files. You can actually record several CD's into one "folder" if you select Destination folder before you start recording.
Word of caution, if you record a CD that has multiple artists on it, it will default to Various folder. I ended up with 10 CD's in two Various folders before I learned to select a folder first and then rename it. It's in the COMAND manual on how to do this.
You can advance folders with Voice control by saying next folder even though the screen that comes up does not show that as an option.
