A nice review. How many diesels do we have here on the W212 forum?

Sounds sexy. I may have to test drive on the next time I buy.

I have had the E350 BlueTec for about 3 weeks and I absolutely love this car. I have 1200 miles so far and I average 30 mpg city and 42 highway and this car is not even broke in yet. I have always owned mb. Only down side I can see so far is that the car has run flat tires as the ad blue tank is located where the spare tire would be. I have never had the run flats before but cannot tell any difference in the ride.

I have run flats on my 335d and can't tell any differences with them but also never put non run flats on the car to accurately compare things. I have around 12k miles on them, have had one flat but the dealership replaced it since my wife got one of those wheel/tire warranties with the car. To me after a year of having run flats, I am not worried about them one bit. I suppose if I ever got annoyed with them then I'd just put "real" tires on the car and deal with a flatbed if/when I ever got an actual flat tire.

Thats impressive mpg though. I tend to average 27 with my 335 and almost 30 with my 300SD. I wish these Bluetecs were out last year when I needed a new car. They are more the size of what I need, thinking about going and looking at one in upcoming weeks although don't see me being able to buy one until next year.

Congrats.

Saw an E350 with Indium grey/Chestnut at my dealer. Very classy combination.

People in BMW forums always complain about RFT. I do not see difference though, but certainly RFT are safer

So I've had the E350 BlueTEC for a couple of weeks and I'm really liking it. I traded in a Lexus ES350, and while that was a nice car it evoked no passion to drive. I now look forward to every opportunity to drive (I carpool so don't have to drive every day). The few times I've gotten on the accelerator have been impressive in that there was no loud downshift, no jerking nor hesitation, just a waaay to easy 55-90mph jump in one case and a complete stomping of another vehicle on a two lane highway entrance ramp. My commute is 35 miles each way of mostly highway with moderate congestion and each trip usually registers around 31 mpg. I've only filled the tank once and that was right around 460 miles on the odometer with a 60 mile estimated range at the time.

My one disappointment is that the night view doesn't have a wide enough angle to show all the deer that may be lurking on the side of the road but I pretty much suspected it was a gimmick that wouldn't get much use anyway.

Picked up my Bluetec yesterday and loving it. thus is my first MB and very pleased with my decision so far. Drove 100 miles home from dealer and had 38.1mpg with avg speed of 68mph.
