Ceramic tint's are great at heat rejection, in fact Huper Optik is the best followed by Llumar tint which is what I have on my Arctic White.

Yes it is very expensive. There is a place in LA that everyone go to called Song's. I think he charges in the high $200 or low $300 but these car guys I have met on other car forums all swear by him.

seems like a pretty good deal, I was quoted $400+ here in Florida.

Anyone have the ceramic tint on their windshield for heat reduction?

Yes, I have the ceramic tint on the windshield. I have only had it on a little over a week so I'm not sure how well it keeps the heat out. The guy at the tint shop told me it helps with glare but I haven't noticed a difference. One problem I believe I have is that my mini sunpass doesn't seem to work with the tint on there.

Is your windshield dark with the tint or is it a clear film?

LOL @ GOT MLK. I love Huper Optik tint. It truly has the blackest black of all the tint and that shiny wet look gets a lot of attention on the roads.

I believe the shop name is STM. They usually charge $500 to do the whole car. They are currently running a Group Buy for $400 if you join Mfest. I look them up and it seems like they are the only authorize shop to do Huper Optik.

Nice car... is that HO 30? I was thinking doing 40 but then maybe 50 so as not to get hassled about the driver window tints

KYHaynes, thanks for the pic. Looks great.
I just found out Minnesota requires a doctor's prescription to get tint darker than 50%.
Just another reduction of our freedom!.
The shop I use does not have the Huber Optik but does have the LLumar CXT Ceramatrix Tint. Anybody have any input on the LLumar film?

I've got Huper Optik 50 recently installed.

I've noticed since the install that headlights of other cars (or any bright lights) seen through the rear window create reflections vertically on the rear defroster bars.

Has anyone else experienced this or is this something to be expected after tinting?

Up until yesterday it had been fairly warm and it definitely seems to help with the heat. My car is black with black interior and even parked in the sun all day it hasn't been too hot inside. The Sunpass is a big problem though. I have tried both types of them and niether will work. I have ended up with it on the sunroof and it works so I guess I'll live with it there.
