my 4 month brief review 550
The car is very subtle. It doesn't scream "Look at me", but when you look at it, you can't take your eyes off of it. Many complements from friends and clients. The car handles good for my purpose around town. Could be a bit tighter, but then I would sacrafice for comfort. Acceleration is plentyful. Dynamic seat is a MUST have. Had lower back pain the other day, and felt as though I was a king driving with the massager on. Pano roof is a bit hot in Florida during summer. Perhaps tinting it will help. Front windshield could use some tint on top to deflect sun. Though I like the clean look of nothing there now. Love the ambient lighting. Stock wheels are very easy to clean, with no excess brake dust. I tend to trade out cars more than my underwear. So far, I've been changing my underwear more since the E550.
Happy motoring.
Enjoy every moment with the E550!
I am having an affair with my car.
[/quote]Tj,
LOL. My car is about 2 months old, and I still wipe it almost every other day. Including the wheels. I play my music at highest tolerable volume during my solo commute, turn on the massage, and get lost in the almost-siesta-mode where my car seems like its floating on ocean waves.
Spouse is getting suspicious.
Dont know what to do.
I do find myself simply staring it down though, lol.....I love how the hood meets the A pillar for some reason.......hmmmmm.....
and that little bump on the tail light; I like that too....
it's true what they say about keeping a black car clean.....it's a *****......but when it
is clean...man......it's sweet...
I am really happy about this car too

I'm glad everyone's enjoying theirs. I get increasingly happier with mine. I'm the type of person who likes to ground myself, and not act as if I'm in some "strive strive strive yet never be happy" type of "rat-race" person.
Therefore, to me, I feel like just having the car is a dream fulfilled. Mercedes-Benz has always been the pinnacle to me, so having the car to go and drive whenever I please, is just something that brings a smile to my face still (and I've been an M-B owner since '08 - 3 of them now), and makes me feel very privileged to do. I hope I never lose that viewpoint. I'm a negative person in a lot of ways (I call it a protective-measure tactic), and a big cynic. But I'm glad at least here, I can maintain a more positive, almost innocence maintaining outlook.
.... Now if I can just get that constant urge to want to pick up another car (to replace my current "other car") to go alongside it away, I'll be even more free.

If they screw up this time, I will never come back. There are too many great alternatives out there now.
