Hi,
Curious if anyone may know when/if the e350 may get a new six or increase In power? is it typically the 5th year into the new platform?
Also appreciated all the mpg info on the e550 threads. Fantastic information. Thx

Thanks, I'm with ya on the 535 engine. Still have a little phobia on long term reliability of the turbo in that engine though. I appreciate BMWs but hard for me to ever leave the mb family. I am paying for it with my sequoia now. Come to find out sequoias and land cruisers have major issues with cracked exhaust manifolds. They are stonewalling me at two dealerships. Should have waited for the GL. My bad.

E550 4MATIC
MB is starting to roll out their new generation of engines starting with the facelift MY11 CL550 which has the new 4.6L twin turbo and the MY11 S and CL63 AMG which both have the new 5.5L twin turbo.
Next year for MY12 we should see the new V6 and V8 come to the E-Class and the other models.
Quote from this Autoblog post: Update: Mercedes USA spokesman Rob Moran has confirmed that both the CL and S-class models in the U.S. will get the new twin turbo V8 in Q4 of this year with other models getting it in 2011. Models currently powered by a V6 engine will get the new V6 beginning in 2011.

BMW needs a new design team, all their new "designs," are hardly new at all. In fact, they're no longer as wide as they used to be and look particularly hideous.
