2011 Mercedes E550 4M, 2003 BMW X5 4.4i
Really? I too am not a fan of paladium silver. BMW F10 has a lot more and better exterior colors than Mercedes, like Space Grey Metallic, Dark Graphite Metallic, Carbon Black, Deep Sea Blue, etc. The paladium silver should be shinier, lighter, and more metallic like its iridium silver. Mercedes should have a color thats between iridium silver and paladium silver. The paladium silver is just too dull compared with the Space Grey Metallic on the BMW.

Black is luxurious, exudes beauty and has always been my favorite color or lack there of. I just had 7 vehicles, 4 of which were black. So I'm very accustomed to keeping up with black paint.
I like driving my Benz daily but it is not my mandatory daily driver, so I'm selective when I drive it and keep it in on bad weather days. This is why black was a good choice for me and wouldn't own any other color.

2011 E550W - White/Almond, P2 Pkg, Pano Roof, Driver Dynamic Seat, Sport Pkg, Rear Spoiler
The wife who is not a fan of white, LOVES her 2011 White/Almond E550 with Pano. The Pano breaks up what might be too much white for some. Also, its not a bright white, more of a cream white. Actually, by the VIN, its called Calcite White, #9650. Previous 7 Benz's over the years have all been Ird Slv/Black. Black/Black looks great too, but too much upkeep for us.

steel grey on ash vs black on black
I like the black on black but only the steel grey on ash is available now.

I think when you compare a clean black on black and a clean steel grey on ash, the black on black is more impressive. the steel grey make the car seem less serious.
what do you all think?

2015 E250 BT 4M
2013 E350 Bluetec
Just took delivery on my new machine two days ago. What an awesome car !
I have owned a good number of BMWs and Mercedes over the past 30 years.
The E350 Bluetec is by far the best highway machine that I have ever driven.
The feeling of solidity, stability, quietness and 400 ft.lbs of torque make this car a joy to drive.
It's a significant leap beyond my previous Mercedes, the 2008 E320 Bluetec. The E350BT is more fuel efficient and has NO turbo lag. It's a rock solid car with a truly amazing engine !
Polar white with the pano roof looks fabulous !!!!!

Tenorite grey! it's dark grey, maybe steel...but it shows off the lines of the car better than black and doesn't look dirty all the time. kind of subdued.
The best MB color....Black opal on my CLK63....it's psychedelic, usually blue, sometimes green, sometimes purple. It's like cadet blue with an iridescent pearl on it. don't know if it shows the dirt, because it's never dirty! just wipe off the brake dust after every drive.

2010 E350 Luxury Sedan, Engine 272 (V6)
Yes. I ordered it from Germany to get this color combination on a Luxury version. Palladium Silver with light gray interior. Only downside is that it also has the light gray carpeting and floor mats. When I replace the mats, I will get a medium to dark gray from Auto Anything.
I looked at different colors at the dealership to decide which I wanted. To me the Palladium Silver is actually a medium gray, depending on lighting. The "gray" was almost black is outdoor lighing to me. Silver was too light.
I never get white or black cars. A freshly washed black car is beautiful, but I had too much trouble keeping them clean in the past.

I've always opted for black exterior and either black or tan interior. Hard to keep it clean but mine is in a garage during the day at work and in a garage at home. When I get out at home, I usually wipe it down. Takes 5-10 minutes but helps keep it looking clean.

Looks great, i have black and love it....may want to consider having CQuartz Finest applied. Had it done last month when I had the bra done...much easier to keep clean, but its expensive...With Black just stay away from automatic car washes unless theyre no touch.
Heres a look at my E after cquartz

Slightly off topic response
Had an uncle who referred to this as "dry cleaning." He would dampen a towel and wipe off dirt, dust, etc. He was very proud of his '57 turquoise/white Chevy Bel Air. Have used the same method myself to clean around wheel wells between washings. Key is to make sure it is damp enough. Happy Motoring

First '14 was Steel grey with grey MB-tex and black trim, loved that it was easy to clean and looked very good (I got many of compliments during my four months of ownership). Current '14 is Diamond White with black pano/chestnut interior and I have to say love this one the most! I don't have as many compliments verbally but more people stare and I have to agree it's definitely a looker. The creamy color glows compared to the artic white. Older brother just got a '14 luxury last week with palladium silver and he loves the clean simple look that it provides for him-given he isn't a big car guy. He doesn't wash his car often so it's the perfect fit! My next one in April is going to be black with silk MB-tex since summer is coming up and it's pretty hot in Texas. I can say I love them all but my current diamond white is by far the favorite!

it's obsidian black with which I have a love hate relationship.
New England winters aren't exactly pretty, covered in salt and sand, the cars shows everything.
but I knew that when I bought it. For the 30 seconds after I finish cleaning it, it's awesome.

i like my palladium silver color but i don't love it. preference is either a darker shade of blue or metallic black.
my car is a utility driver, so the silver does its job well of keeping the car clean. i do a wash and detail spray down every other month, which i find pretty reasonable.
the porcelain seats on the other hand, get blue within 2 weeks from our jeans.

I have irridium silver with a panoramic moonroof, black leather and black ash. I LOVE that color combination.
