Evberybody needs to own one white car in their lives, I guess.
White is the absolute worst followed remotely by black. A white car stays clean after washing for the amount of time it takes you to get in and turn the key.
you get used to it, just keep a bucket of sudsy water and a sponge in the trunk.

right now i have black exterior & black leather interior.
both my previous MB's (E coupe & C) were black too

Recently, When I started to look for my next lease I did the "tour of colours"

Hesitated between dark gray, dark blue, red, diamond white..., but just could not decide.. nothing seemed right.

So went for black again.. in the end I feel it suits the car best.

For the interior it was the same thing; looked at lighter colours/white leather,
but it's just a b*tch to keep clean.

so black leather & dash it shall be.

Honestly, the thing keeping me away from black now is that every black MB in boston has a Lyft and Uber sticker on it!

Palladium with black interior and very happy with it. Originally I was leaning toward a steel gray with light gray interior but thought it would be too hard to keep clean. Plus my last two cars (almost 13 years) were a version of dark gray.

I like my Indigo Blue on brown E250:

It is just dark enough to be a little maintenance chore, but it is unusual, I seldom see a W212 in this color, especially with a brown interior. For me, my favorite facelift W212 combo would be diamond silver or diamond white on beige, but you don't see those often.

I just bought a designo Diamond White with designo Porcelain interior. You are right, they sold the car for a premium due to its unusual color.

I'll try to post pics when it's delivered this weekend.

I was indeed asked the other day if I was a taxi!

and when a friend of mine saw my (then new) car for the 1st time,
he said "hey nice taxi you have"

The colour is not even the issue here: in Europe most taxis are E class

Sounds amazing. I assume it is a full option car, too. I don't think I have ever seen that interior on an E sedan.

Yep---fully loaded! Every single option available, except for 115V socket and woodgrain steering wheel, lol.

I have a triple black 14 E350 sport, love it, but agree with the general misery of keeping it clean. My solution was to join a local handwash (Splash) on a monthly basis with unlimited washes (financially I'm ahead if get the car washed and waxed 3 times a month or more). Sometimes I'm in twice a week. But to preserve the paint I keep it waxed with Sonax -- I do that myself -- and may, this summer pay a shop to do a ceramic coating on my car (don't remember the brand names). My dad just did this to his black 2016 E and it looks great after a light rinse.

I wanted a white one actually, but E550s are hard enough to come by as it is so I ended up with the one I have. I don't hate the color, I prefer it over the lighter silver and steel grey. I also wish it had the pano sunroof and distronic, but it's got the P2 package so that's cool.

Looks good. That's what I hope to do with mine. I know what debadging rear is...but what does "debaged sides" mean?

What came with the lighting pkg back in 2012? What is X pipe? Does plasti dipping the wheels lead to any peeling and chips? The worse thing ever is when i see a car with black wheels with the silver showing do to rocks, chips, and curb rash.

lol simply referring to the chrome strips on the lower side of the doors. Lighting pack just means bi-xenon, auto high beams, and active curve illumination. I think blind spot and lane keep assist came as together with lighting pack.

Plastidip is awesome! if it's applied correctly it should last a long time. I redo my wheels once a year just because the shine fades a little bit from winter abuse lol

Yeah I think they changed some stuff around throughout the years. My car's "Lighting Pkg" consists of Full-LED lights with curve illumination and auto-high beams. I also have "Distronic Plus" with Active Steering. Does that also mean I have Lane Keeping Assist and Active Blind Spot Detection as part of the "Driver's Assistance Pkg", or are those separate options? So confusing...but not as confusing as BMW's options.

When we were on the hunt, we saw a Lunar blue that I loved, but was not optioned well. Then found an Indigo blue with the porcelain leather ...yikes, gorgeous! That light leather and the gorgeous blue did it ...that it was optioned the way we wanted sealed the deal. Love Indigo as it's not a color I ever see on the street, and it seems to change hue depending on the lights, particularly at dusk.

Thanks

On porcelain sounds even more amazing. I have no kids, so I can get away with light colored interiors. The brown in my car is pretty, and uncommon, but porcelain would be something. Has to be fairly rare, too.

My car doesn't have drivers assist, but it does have lane keeping and blind spot. If you have triangle lights in your mirrors, I think you have blind spot. If your steering wheel vibrates when you wander in a lane, I think you have lane keeping.

Regarding full options from somewhere (I forget where I read it), I believe if a car has matte finish wood, the wood steering wheel wasn't available.
