Hey guys I wanted to ask you a question, I have seen a lot of W212 AMG that have marker lights that match the car color. Are people having them painted or do AMG's/MB have an option for matching marker lights? I just ordered some smoke colored ones for my black 550.

The first one is a Euro spec (no marker indicators on the bumper at all). The second two are owners who painted over their markers with the monochromatic colors of their cars.

Actually I just got 'em wrapped with a standard black vinyl wrap. It looks great, and the wrap has a perfect amount of gloss to it, to look "right". Also, the light doesn't protrude through them, which I was happy to find out, although around the edges you see some glow from the orange, which is a good medium to me.

Two pics of my replacement markers off e-bay. I left in the white bulbs instead of the orange. MUCH better than the orange factory markers!

 

Just ordered mine, went with the clears though. I was kind of up in the air on smoke vs clear on a black 212. Was glad ebay had pics of both on black though. I'd be happy with either, just clear seems to match with the "theme".

 

Any other source for the side markers beside eBay? Any cheaper in cost? I hate to spend 60.00 on 2 pieces of plastic IMO. I will if I can't get them cheaper for the sake of a great looking car lol.

 

Any price is worth it to get rid of those fugly orange ones. Might as well pony up.. Trust me it's worth it.

hehe, true enough.....all in all I paid 110 for supplies.......but to me it was worth the change of sight.......

 

I'm going to have a pair of smoke for 30 plus shipping PM me, I have an extra set.
