The wheels were from a S63, but tires were applied to fit a W211 E63. The E63 owner put 245/35 in front which will not fit a lowered W212. If it were stock height, 20" with 245/35 would probably be ok. Hope that answers your question.

I love how my car rides with the H&R springs but your car seems to sit lower then mine. Mine has a bit of a rake to it and rear is higher then yours looks. When my tires wear out I'm going to get the split AMG replicas that come on the S65s. And sonictuning has a pretty good price on them. Figure with tires should be around $1500. Not bad for a set of 19"s.

Your car is what convinced me to do H&R vs. Eibach. I was originally concerned the H&R's were going to be too aggressive of a drop, but your car did not look too low. However, I agree that my car appears to be a little lower than yours. The spring boosters brought the front up about .25" and softened the ride a bit and once the larger wheels go on I think it will be a good stance.

After test fitting the OEM S63 wheels, which are +43 offset, I don't think the AMG replicas with +35 offset will work. I think they will stick out and with the drop that won't be good. Those are the wheels I originally wanted also, but not sure how to go about test fitting with tires since I wouldnt be able to send back if they don't fit just right.

I'm actually looking at the S63 wheels now. This place is selling them for $199 per wheel. With it having a 43 offset, will that make the wheels stick out. Based on your pic they don't seem the stick out. I'm thinking of going 245/30/20 for front and 275/25/20 for the rear.

I just picked up my new E350 two weeks ago, and immediately dropped it on some new rolling stock. I baselined the wheel option when I ordered the car, knowing that I really wanted the E63 rims but just couldn't convince myself to drop the kind of expense, knowing that I'd need to replace the factory rubber far too soon for a comfort-first car. I went down that route several years ago when I bought a Volvo S60 that came from the factory with 35-series PZeros which gave their life far too quickly to the sedate strip of 35mph road between my house and my daughter's daycare center. Same thing happened with my Audi and then my Lexus after that. Mid-performance cars shipping with exotic rubber. I still scratch my head at why a turbo brick Volvo tried to impress me with 20,000-mile super sticky treads that cost more than my first car for a set. Long story short, I've been somewhat happier buying well-performing rubber MORE often, as opposed to "top shelf" rubber at a much higher premium... which wears just as fast if not faster. Not to mention that this is a sub-300 HP V6 we're talking about here.

ANYWAY... here is the new configuration:

2011 W212 E350 Sedan

Metal:
19X9.5 ET48 Rear
19X8.5 ET42 Front

Rubber:
285/30ZR19 Rear
255/35ZR19 Front

The rims I bought are a nod to one of the AMG designs, but they don't go so far as to try to put the AMG logo on there and get sued or shamed publicly. Picture attached. I'll post some pics of the car and its stance if it ever stops F#*&1n9 raining here in sunny Southern California.

The rubber I went with is a Hankook Ventus V12 EVO K110 at $830.00/set. Now I know you're all mad at me, but I promise I have never, ever strayed from the Pirelli/Michelin/Conti religion, and based on some research I decided to test my theory of price versus more frequent replacement. These received a great review in Car & Driver Magazine... rated it #2 out of some heavy hitters and got a special notation for best value. Time will tell, but after 400 miles of slinging around in the rain and "testing the lateral grip" as I tell my wife, these feel just as good as the $500-a-pop tires on my last car.

They tuck PERFECTLY under the car. Never rubbed, and the ride is better than the Lexus I just retired. But that's probably more about what's above the wheels now, isn't it?

Where did you find the wheels? Everything I have seen in this style has a much lower offset. What you got should work great with a drop. Do you know if they are available in 20's?

What springs did you go with?

Just post up some rainy weather, dirty car pics for now and then replace them next week. I need to see it!

Damn that car is dirty!!! Wheels look good! After I test fitted the S class wheels, I was on the fence about size, but I do think I would want 20's.

Perfect size! 19's >>>>> 20's on the W212.

If I were to get new wheels, those would be the exact ones. I like the OEM AMG look on the Benzes more than any aftermarket wheels out there, and 19's are the ideal size.

However, fortunately for my wallet, I love the wheels on mine already, and I don't have the ***** to test the wheels strength against the roads with 19's.

Now why would you want to rub it in when I went to all the trouble of laying down disclaimers left and right. That's just not fair.

BTW, it's interesting how there are some weird hues showing in the urethane bumper. It almost looks like a repaint job, but I practically watched this car come off the boat so I know that's not the case. This is that Diamond White code that was offered this fall, and I think the pearl is causing some kind of anomalous reflectance based on the material beneath. It doesn't show in dry weather, just wet. Very strange.

BTW, your car is Diamond White?! That would be the first W212 I've seen with that color. Gorgeous color, but I couldn't tell from those pics. Definitely post some up when the sun shows up again.

Ah, don't worry about it. Looks fine, just replace them with better pics when the sun finally comes out.

That setup is looking great. For me, it's a toss up to similar or something along the lines of Ryden88's awesome wheels. I am going to wait out the winter and decide by March or April.

Looking forward to more pics in better weather...oh, and after a wash

Thanks. Yes, I configured and ordered it in October. The Diamond White is very subtle but it's certainly got depth and slight iridescence. I'm enjoying it while I can, because I don't think even the best lot gypsies would be able to fix a chip or scratch very well, and I certainly won't be very happy if I ever have to have a panel painted and blended.

Ouuch, yeah, I know what you mean. I'm sure a great paint shop could match it well (LOL @ Gypsies, some of them can truly do anything when it comes to cars, it seems.... Though, some [much] better than others.... it also seems ).

I'm really OCD about that stuff, so I can see that driving me crazy. I'm happy that (I believe) the Arctic White should be as easy a color to match, fill, "fix", etc. etc, as it gets.

Either way Diamond White is stunning in the right light. I've seen some W221's with it, and it's just class up the a$$.
