2011 E550 Sport (traded), 2012 SLK 350; 2013 GL450 on order for OCT delivery
Comments were amusing. Particulary the ones about MB being over rated taxis in Europe. Granted, many taxis in Europe are MB. Why? because they run forever and the European base model is very cost effective. But, the European base model is not an E550 by a long shot. It's not your U.S. model MB!

In Europe, our "Standard" AMG Sport Package E350 is a top of the line model, by a long-shot, as well.
Europeans aren't so vain about their car culture, in that Taxi's ruin the prestige of a model, in fact, seemingly most Europeans further glorify a car that is used, abused, preferred, and proven by such rigorous Taxi use.
For us vain Americans, it works out perfectly, as Europe is the test bed in tangibly proving our Benzes are preferred by people who drive A LOT of tough miles, and proven to last through such use, while we get the perks of it being seen as a prestigious Luxury Car.![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Those Comments are funny, but expected. I try to stay away from anonymous Comments Sections, as you really see how low, negative, and nasty the human race can be (I'm not even referring to the Benz Article). People rarely post on anonymous Comments sections to express anything but cynical jargon.

for me personally it matters not whats what in the taxi world; I'm thankful as hell to be able to drive myself where I want to go, day or night, rain or shine.......and I hope to live up to the standard put forth by MB to accept the responsibility of ownership and care for this pup....lol.....you know what I mean?
I guess it could be seen as vague from the other side of the world.......but jeez....
this is a great privilege to drive......even though practically any **** can get a license....
