The hockey stick is not a fog light, it is only a DRL. Cars with the hockey stick lights do not have front fog lights.

I would think it is possible to retrofit but do not know for sure.

My friend who took over my last W212 literally asked me before anything if mine had the "hockey stick LED's".

After seeing both on the roads so much, IMO there's no doubt the hockey stick ones are not only cooler to those who don't know nor care about which is newer or older, but just give the W212 a much more individual and distinct look on the roads. The front of the car, even with the unique quad headlights really blends in more with the MB-generic straight acrossers.

Agree the hockey stick ones look better! But if only there was a way to keep them running at full brightness during day not default half brightness. To test simply press the DRL button once to see it flash super bright then normal.

Uh, I'm confused here.

On my car, 2011 E550, the default during the day is full bright. At night (or in my garage, for that matter), the DRLs drop down in brightness.

?????????????

(Oh, maybe that's because I didn't bed my brakes??)

Good point live oak, they are dimmer at night but I want them to always be the day light brightness all the time. Vs dim when the main headlights go on. Then it keeps the cool continuity of brightness at the front between all lights.

Good luck with that. The (US) feds would have a complete fit with that --- those lights are really bright, and would be blinding at night.

Alright so, I hate to bring this thread back from the dead... but after all this reading on these conversions to and from different years, lights and packages I still haven't been able to determine if the particular car I'm about to buy will be eligible for this conversion. The car is an E350 2010 Sport Sedan with Quads hoping to go to the straights.

Only decided to post because I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on this deal and it's the only issue I haven't resolved, and with dealers saying it unequivocally can't be done, I'm getting confused.
