Color enquiry
I am going to replace my SL with a E500 for more practical use... i am thinking to have white but I have never had a white mercedes before... sometimes i see some white mercedes which look a little yellowish... is that caused by overexposure under the sun that turns that white into yellowish? this new E will be parked outdoors most of the time that's why i need to find out...

I had a white car back in the late 90's and it developed that yellowish color from oxidation. I spent a couple hours one night with a buffer and some chemical that I bought. I don't remember what it was but the car looked as white as ever when I was done. So the answer is yes it may turn yellowish but its 100% reversible/preventable.

2011 E550 Sport (traded), 2012 SLK 350; 2013 GL450 on order for OCT delivery
My 2008 S550 was white. I have also owned white Jeep Grand Cherokees. The jeeps were always left outside. The S550 spent a lot of time outside also, although it was garaged about 75% of the time. None of the cars were washed very often and were never waxed. All of them kept their original luster and never showed any yellowing whatsoever.
I think with today's paint finishes and the clear coat finish that you do not have to worry about the yellowing. Older cars without clear coat may have experienced that problem if exposed to certain polutants.
