09 Bluetec to 11 Bluetec?

I can get a great deal on a 2011 Bluetec if I want to trade in my 09 P2 Bluetec. The advantages I see on the w212 are (1) the better position and integration of the Nav system and (2) the ability to get the sport package with a little firmer handling and larger tires.

The disadvantages I see are addition of the AdBlue system (my 211 is the last diesel without it) and the run flat tires. So, it appears to be a mixed bag.

Especially for those who have moved from a 211 to the 212, what am I missing? Are there other advantages to the 212? Some sources such as CR say that the handling and ride are not quite as good on the 212 as the 211. Do you agree? Thanks for your help.

I've had 2 prior E350's an '06 and an '08. I currently have a '10 E550.

The new E is great. However, the nav cannot be operated by the buttons when the car is moving which is terrible. You must use the voice control features which are a real pain. There is no shifter between the seats in the new E's unless you get a coupe or E63 sedan. The new E has the column shift.

I have a ML350 Bluetec and love it but i've not had to deal with the adblue yet. I think I would get the new E if I was you as it is overall a better car. I wouldn't get that lane change system as it will set off a radar detector and drive you and those around you crazy.

The automatic high beams in the new E are cool but sometimes are hard to use even on a street with no other cars and little outside lighting.

The nav has traffic in it from Sirius with the payment of a monthly fee on top of Sirius radio. That is a really cool helpful feature in the NY Metro area and a must have on any car in my honest opinion.
