Star Grill vs Stock Grill
I am thinking of coming back from "the dark side" and switching back to the stock grill. I have both, so its no biggie (20 minute change over). I need opinions as to what you guys think looks best (Kevin I know what your going to say).
Stock vs Star???
Thanks.

+1 for stock. Before I picked the car in Dec I was all for getting to star soon after delivery because I was used to similar on my R. My mind has since changed and I love the classy stock grill.

+1 for stock. The simple design of the stock grill allows the viewer to take in the entire front end of the car which IMO is one of the best looking front ends on the road. The star draws your eye to the center of the grill and detracts from the entire picture.
FWIW - I like the flat badge with either.

Entering halftime and the Stocks are beating the Stars 8-1!!! Looks like a bad coaching decision may have been made by inserting an unproven "star".

I just switched to Star from stock last week. Both same grill and car color as yours. Looks much sportier on white. Had star grill on my 2 previous W211s too. No regrets. Also, W212 star grill appears to be much better made that a couple I had in W211s.

Scores 9-2 (Actually 10-2 if you include K-A's previously stated vote). Wow!!!
Looking for a 2nd half comeback to keep this baby close.

Non-Star all the way. It just seems to flow better on the E-sedan. The AMG E55 has a non-star, it looks plenty sporty to me. To me, the E and S classes aren't right without a non-star grill. Just my opinion obviously.

SD - what a great shot of your car. It looks ready to jump out of my screen. Reminds me of the NASCAR cams showing the car directly behind you. I keep expecting your car to try and pass me!

Went from stock to star with a flat hood ornament for about three weeks. And this is on a Luxury trim. Went back to stock grill with stock hood ornament and won't go back to star with flat ornament again.

Even the AMG boards (where more modding and experimenting goes on) will tell you NO star grille on a W210, W211, W212.
It's become a marker as a major faux pas. Unless of course, you're a 16 year-old Russian mafia wannabee living on the cheap side of Beverly Hills.
If you do it, then be prepared to bear the consequences.
