USAA discount questions

I'm planning to order a 2012 E350 as soon as orders can be accepted. In talking to my salesman he said I will get the car at invoice, which he says is 6%, less the $2,000 USAA discount.
First of all, I thought the invoice was 7% not 6%.
Then, what is a good discount on a special order E350?

USAA incentives are changing on the monthly basis, so it will depend on which month you are buying at. If I were you, I would negotiate the selling price with the dealership first, and THEN reveal that you have additional incentive as a USAA member. This way you'll get the best negotiated price and THEN you have ability to use your control number for an additional discount.

Additionally, you can calculate invoice by yourself - to make sure they don't pull your leg. There is a very complicated formula, but you can calculate the invoice of any Benz here: http://www.benzonly.com/invoice.aspx , all you need to do is enter MSRP of the car and Gas Guzzler tax, which is 0 for E-Class. And it will give you exact Invoice immediately...Click the link above.

I can only tell you what I did last year. I used the USAA discount and purchased a MY 2010 MB E350 4M P2 Premium Paint, Leather, and Driver Assistance Package with a MSRP of $63,535 for $57,150 (exclusive of Sales taxes, registration, and other BS). I ordered the car through the dealership and it took about 8 weeks to arrive. My discount was in the 10% neighborhood at a time when the new face lift was in demand you should be able to do that or better. Good luck.

Did your $57K price include the $2K USAA savings or did you get around 10% off MSRP minus the $2K for a net of $55K plus T & L?

Net was $57,500 (including the USAA discount) for the car. Purchased 3/2/2010. Tax and Lic etc was added to that car price.

Invoice is between 6-7%, ask for a copy of the invoice on the day of delivery and ensure the VIN matches the car you are buying. USAA is a good program and saves a lot of time for both parties.

Double USAA discount until Feb 28.
I don’t know when it started but you can get an additional $4k off your negotiated price for all E classes except Bluetec and AMG.
Bluetec and AMG are still $2k off.
