Arrow Starting to warm up

Heads: hello..........

Yesterday is was actually nice enough to cruise a little with the windows open: I noticed how loud it became in the cabin, the sunroof appears particularily loud when open.... anyone else notice this?
I suppose it isn't a huge deal.........just something I DIDN'T notice while testing.......that got me thinking........are there any other things that you're not crazy about that you didn't catch while test driving?

I don't care about the horn/chirp either lol..........

i believe all of the wind noise comes from the fabric air diffuser. I noticed it myself a few weeks ago and was surprised at the sound volume but pleased with the way it broke up the air entering the cabin.

I found out my noise was coming from the fuzzy dice hanging from my rear view mirror. Damn, I might have to lose them.

The noise is not from the fabric air diffuser (I am not being picky, I just wanted this to be clear.) The noise is from the wind, which is what you will hear whenever you open your windows in any vehicle. The air diffuser actually reduces the noise entering the cabin.

Spot on..should have said "wind passing through the diffuser..." i think that thethe wind noise is louder on my E with diffuser than it was on my Yukon without. Go figure!

Yes same here, the noise from the diffuser is louder than my Nissan and most other cars I have owned. It’s either because the Panoroof is soooo much larger than any other car's sunroof or it’s because the car is that much aerodynamically better. But if you want to hear noise drive with the panoroof open and momentarily hold down the diffuser with your hand. You will quickly see why the diffuser is absolutely necessary.

I will have to try that on my way to lunch this afternoon. Never thought of pulling down on it. I do love how calm the cabin is with the roof open and a little Jimmy Buffet on the stereo takes care of the wind noise.

Is that a self-percieved superiority jab Hyperion?

Mr. 350 #2 checking in:

I'm actually shocked at how well the Pano fabric-thing voids sound. With such a HUGE opening of Pano, it is incredibly calm and chill in the cabin when driving. The sound that comes from that fabric-breaker thingy, also is a nice, calm, soothing wind sound.

Now, try going over 40 or so with the Pano open.... That fabric strip becomes useless, and it sounds like hell in there!

It's pretty huge. But it's shocking as to how well they engineered it to not even seem like it's open, when it's open.
