Hi All,

First post...

I was at the dealer today, and noticed that the two E550's they had on the lot both had this plastic insert in the bottom, and none of the E350's had it.

There was one S550 that had it as well.

So please tell the newbie what it is and what it is for. Is this a way to tell a 550 from a 350 from the front?

There is no difference between E350 and E550 grills, but there is a difference between "sport" and "luxury" trim grills.

Your picture is the Distronic feature, available as an option on E 350's, E 550's and the S range of cars.
