Wait, the OP didn't even have a flat tire and tire was fine? Just the tire pressure warning light on? Couldn't that have waited until you got back to your hometown dealer? Also the OP was in Atlantic City? I'm in LA but isn't AC like the east coast Las Vegas? I would have told the dealer to drop me off at the nearest casino.

Going back to the issue of dealerships....
I see that BMWUSA announced their Dealerships of Excellence Awards today. They compile data from customer satisfaction reports and other criteria to award dealerships that have the best service. Porsche also designates a "Premier" dealership award for the top 25 dealers in the country.
Does MBUSA do this? If they do, it's not very well publicized. It wouldn't hurt to do this (or at least make it more visible to the public if they already do something like this.) At the very least it makes dealerships vie for the award to use as their promotional advertising.

I've brought in my cars all of maybe 5-6 times for a mixture of repairs and service and didn't buy either of them from my local dealership and I always get loaners when wait time is over 3 hours. I have never had a problem with service. Hell they even know who I am when they answer the phone, and address me by name. It's a little creppy at first but I guess they have a system that brings up your file when you call.
