Lighting Package Deals?

Already purchased a w212 w/o the lighting pacakge so I guess I was wondering if anyone knows a place to get the lighting package for the W212 for a pretty decent price?

What is " Lighting package " ? There is no such thing at least in US configuration of W212. I know this package exists in GL class.

Factory installation is the way to go.

Typically it costs at least 4X as much to have anything subsequently retrofitted.

Where are you based? By lighting package, you are referring to the interior lighting, right? If so, it is standard in Canada. Not sure about the US

Sorry, it's too late now...the time to get a deal on a premium 2 package car (which would have all of the lighting package equipment) was at the dealer before signing on the dotting line.

The way modern cars are wired/engineered it's impossible just to simply add electrical options after the fact (unless it's something that's been pre-wired for at the factory)

I'll try to be a little more helpful... Since you already purchased the w212 and this forum and the members of can be a lil much...

I bought my car without the Xenon lights.

I had a shop install 6k HID regular lights, 6k city lights, and led license plate lights.

Depending on where you are located, you would want to find a shop that can sell/install them for you. If you are located in Southern California, PM me and I can recommend an awesome shop.

I actually like my lights better than the Xenons and it does not cost that much.

There are many threads on adding HID's. The OP titled the thread "Lighting Package Deals". There is more to the (P35) lighting package then just HID's.

I don't mean to be ugly, I wish that so much wasn't bundled into packages and you could order just what you wanted (But would people still buy whatever the dealer had on the lot & want to try to add stuff later?).

I keep seeing threads about this, people wanting to add this or that to their cars which should/could have been ordered & I just don't understand it. Why not just get it optioned the way you want from the start?

Locating or ordering a P2 W212 sedan is the only way to go currently if you want to have all the lighting features, (bi-xenons, active curve illumination/auto leveling, headlight washers, led drl's, adaptive high beam assist ). Sure, you can covert the headlights to HID's but there is no way to add anything else.

Because MB does not off these options solo.
E.g. if someone wanted keyless GO they would have to get the p2 package. The only thing they want is keyless GO, they don’t care about the other stuff in the package. So we are left with a choice of paying $7k just for keyless go . Or order the car without it and seek an aftermarket option for less than $7k.

That should be easy to understand.

Yes, I do understand on a car with no packages $7K is a lot just to get one option &
like I said there should be more non-packaged options available to US buyers.

But say take a P1 car (which a good deal of dealer stock is) the P1-P2 difference is only $2.5K.

For what it's worth, my after market xenons cost me under 400.00 installed. And I am very happy with them.
