E-Class (W212) 2010 - 2016: E 350, E 550

Is there much difference between 16'' and 17'' rims in terms of comfort/soft ride?

Only MBs - the best or nothing
16" wheels mosly likely will not fit W212.

Have the dealer remove the struts in the front and shocks in the rear. This should soften it right up and should be cheaper than replacing the wheels and tires. Without the dampers, it should ride like a 1970's Buick Electra 225.

I think threembs is right, I dont think 16 will fit unless you change your brakes to a smaller size.

You're right. That's the same poster starting several different threads on the same topic. I never understood how 17" were on a sport in the first place. It just proofs that...well I do not want to get into it.

Yes that's true. This also proofs that one can't asume anything.
