E300L
Hi All-
As some of you know, I am awaiting delivery of an E350 arctic white, pano, etc. so of course I am spending absurd amounts of time researching all things W212.
I came across this video of the E300L, a stretched version of the E that Mercedes sells in China:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIJ7qIeRrYE
I don't think there are any plans to bring this to the U.S., but I would be very intrigued by that extra legroom in the back. It would still have to be white with a pano roof though![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
I travel in China frequently and I can see how this car would work well there. A lot of S-class and 7-series are used as 'town cars' with drivers.
The cars generally have much smaller engines there (I think the last one I rode in was an S280, but don't quote me on that), so the E300L is a nicely powered car for that market. It's a more affordable alternative for a very rapidly growing upper class.
Anyway, for those of who follow the W212 closely, I thought you would find this interesting. This *is* still considered a W212, isn't it?

I didn't look at them too closely, but here are the specs from the MBZ China website:

As an aside, the YouTube video reminded me that IMO Iridium silver isn't the best colour for the W212, whereas it was the best colour on the W211.
