Thanks... I've been secretly checking out mbworld without signing up for a long time. I recently started to buy some toys and gotten a bad product. I'm hoping to be able to use everyone's insight to make sure it doesnt happen again... and meet some good people in the meantime as well :-)

Congrats, what color is that interior...reminds me of the old school Palomino interior my dad had on his 420SEL

Sport Styling, P1 & P2.. has everything i wanted and more. I had no intention of buying one with so much.. but when i saw the interior, i fell in love, and the dealer sweetened the deal pretty good as well

 

I would love to see some pics with the ambient lighting on level 5.
With the ambient lighting color matching the interior leather I bet it would look stunning.

 

That's why I really like the almond interior as well. Looks so rich with the matching ambient lighting. This "Peanut" (lol) interior is even closer to the ambient lighting.

When they introduce the different ambient colors into the mix, I think the only interior combo that might benefit with anything but the dark yellow hue will be the all black interior.

i cant remember how to change the lighting , when i first got the car i turned it down to about 3 because it was too bright for me. I just tried to snap a couple and they didnt come out very good at all. Anyone care to give me a quick "ambient lighting adjustment tutorial"?

is the ambient lighting only on when it gets dark (low beams are on) or is it on all the time

 

Only when the lights are on. IMO it looks best at the normal setting (Level 3).

 

I have my lighting set at 4 to give a higher glow to the wood highlights as the black leather doesn't reflect it around the cabin too much at night.

 

set the lighting to 5 and tried to snap some camera phone pics... still didnt come out :-(

 

Does your camera have a night setting. Try setting it to night/citylight/low lighting or whatever your camera calls it. If that doesnt work then try putting the camera down on a stable surface or tripod and use the timer instead of pressing the button.

 

Congrats on the new car! Same color combo as mine. I leave my ambient light set to 5 (highest level) I like it a lot. I took the picture below one night in the garage, a little blurry but I thought it was cool.
