Front window tint...
Question...whats up with MB not providing a nice gradiated tint on the front windshield?
I finally put one on today (a very resonable $17 do it yourself ebay solution), but its not gradiated, nor is it the same as if the glass was tinted at the factory. Just curious...
Here is the vendor for anyone interested. Very professional, fast ship. I got the 20 tint...would go 35 (lighter) if I had my choice again.

What is gradiated tint? I always thought that the front windshield did have some factory UV protection (kind of like the side windows "green tint" or something), but not sure. The S-Class definitely does, with a purple-y hue to it.

Yes, I love that purple haze on the S Class...that would look lovely on our models. I've been searching around lately for something like that, but no luck. All I see is blue or greenish tints but didn't like it whatsoever.
My friend has a tint shop and is currently looking for something for my front windshield close to that. So if we get lucky and find something, i will pull the trigger on it and post pics. Or if someone out there has found it, please let me know? =D
I'm currently running 50% all the way around. I like it a bit lighter...looks cleaner to me. hehe

Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). In Florida, this percentage refers to percentage of visible light allowed in through the combination of film and the window.
WindshieldNon-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.
