Need a hitch at good price - any suggestions

I need a hitch for my car but don't want to pay the 429$ at the dealership to get it installed. Any suggestions? I am a female and don't want to get ripped off. Is that too high? Is there any where else?

I can hook u up

I ordered my hitch from www.discounthitches.com for $146 (Final Cost) Free Shipping & no tax and it came in 1 day via Fed Ex. It was pretty easy and it has instrucation with pictures to guide you through the process. My dealership quoted $700. I installed it myself buy any U-Haul could install it for no more than $50. It only took me 25 min to install.

I'm not certian but its possible that you can check with a local Uhaul store to purchase and they may install.

My suggestion, dont tow anything with this car. Your asking for transmission/ engines/ alignment problems down the line. Buy a pickup truck!

Thanks for the help guys! I ordered the hitch from www.discounthitches.com for 148$ free shipping and no tax and got it today. I ordered it as soon as I saw the response. It was shipped Fed Ex at no extra charge and came in 2 days. The installation was really easy and my neighbor helped me and took him 15 min. I can't imagine myself with any tools. My husband was surprised by how much I saved.
I only needed the hitch for a bike carrier. Thanks Chris Tucker for the referal.

Can you post up a picture of the backend with the hitch installed?

I will post the pict of my car with the hitch installed this weekend. In the meantime, the instruction sheet that came with the hitch also came with the picture of the installed hitch so I'm sending the link that was on discounthitches site and the colored picture within the instruction is just like my final result but doesn't show a close closeup.
Hope this helps pntblnk

Thanks for the link, that doesn't look bad at all. I have a similar need in hauling my bikes around which is the only time I miss my Yukon.

Reciever size is 1 1/4

I don't know much about hitches but the only size available for ours (e-350) is a Class 1. The receiver opening is 1 1/4 and my bike rack was for a 2 in (class 3). I did buy an adapter but it doesn't feel so secure. I did order a 4 bike rack for my little Class1 again through www.discounthitches.com http://www.discounthitches.com/index...yid/43/id/101/ that fits into both a 1 1/4" & 2". They have free shipping off $100 and they were the cheapest. My husband will be using the 2' bike rack.
