thinking about getting these.......if the dealer EVER replys to tell me how much they'll install for........

I think they're nice.....the armrests are not that comfortable or soft anyway, IMO, should look pretty good.....

stay well drivers

They should look good, and add even more of a "wood look" to the inside.

I like the OEM arm-rest, but I have the Almond 2-tone interior, so I think that the almond arm-rest looks really nice. The material isn't that soft indeed though, but it's tight and nice, and IMO will be more comfortable than a wooden piece. Also, smears from your skin might be a problem, but nothing a little wipe won't fix. Post pics if you get it.

Only one thing to keep in mind. They will get very hot to the touch in the summer months. They look very nice from the photos. Post some pics when you get them installed.

That's true. Like a wood steering wheel. As great as they look, they feel like hard plastic, get greasy, and are either extremely hot or cold, depending on conditions. The arm rest shouldn't be as dramatic, but conditions should affect the temp a bit, so don't burn (or freeze) your arm.

They have deflectors for the front windows... http://www.schaetztuning.com/b3660b-...9g6qfv9lmahn9s
But not for the rear windows? Would that look funny?

yes, I saw those too, but thought they would look odd.........I can't think of a MB that I have ever seen those on.......

I'm waiting to hear back from these folks about the color of the wood..............if it is close to what I would want....
if it was darker, I may still consider......but if it were lighter.......might look dumb or low-brow.......

guess I can always send them back.....it is international however....

I also noticed they have the hideous chrome door pillars and headlight/taillight rings.

The headlight ones got me thinking though, as horrible as I think that they look in chrome, I wonder how they'd look if painted black? I'm thinking they'd stick out like a sore thumb and look cheap.... But I'm trying to really picture it.

Shouldn't it be something that just applies with an adhesive or something?

I dont believe so, it looks like a complete replacement part. Might take a little time to figure out how to remove the old one.

I think it should look pretty cool, but i dont want to be the first one to try and disassemble it. Could get a bit hairy

Many of the boys here, have been brave and posted great "tutorial" photos for us "not so brave" boys. It's been a big help for us dumb ***#s's.

This looks like something Grill Man - lyjw88 - could do .

Can't wait to see the first one. I think it going to look SWEET!!!

I'm just saying that cause I've had a lot of bad luck with interior items, I always seem to break some little plastic tab. Other things, I'll jump in both feet. For instance, I'm currently building a 350 bored 30 over with corvette heads, weiand supercharger, roller rockers, camn the whole kit and kaboodle for my 85 chevy c10 project

I am taking the leap on those straight led's from mercedes and will post pics for sure.

Please post pics of those LED's! Would love to see how they look.

I'm hoping for your sake that the parts guy doesn't mix up the fact that they may not be available for the Sport bumper (and maybe their availability is only referring to the Luxury bumper?).

According to what I've read they are only avail for people who currently have the "hockey sticks"... With that being said, fingers crossed.
Worst case scenario, a good friend of mine does hotrod restoration and is a tremendous fabricator, so I'll just put him on the case lol

Ah, sorry to hear that.

Seriously though, if it's necessary I guess you gotta do it for the functionality. But damn, they don't look pretty, lol.
