I came across this picture on the internet searching images for w212. Do the headlights looks different to you? It does not look as aggressive. Was this the concept vehicle prior to actual production?

Then there is this picture with modified tail lights. I Dont like that at all. Looks more like a C Class tail light. Does not fit the E wider body. What do you think?

Looks like an artist rendering to me. Mercedes and all other manufactures cover their test mules with all kinds of camouflage but you can still get the basic shape of the car. generally, taillights are other large focal points are covered completely. Artists of the pictures you posted have the general shape of the car, but they have to make up the lights, and other small details.

Just an old Artist rendering. There were millions of those before the W212 came out.
