2012 e350 wagon
wagons come with them as standard in the US. I doubt the part would fit, though, due to the shape of the window glass.

They are very practical for young ones, especially when they are sleeping on long trips.

You also need to replace the entire door panel (100 in diagram), of which there are several variants (color, upper material leather vs plastic, sound system type, etc).

what's special about the 'special' glass?

anyway, this is what the package includes:

Sun protection package: electric blind for rear window, manual blinds in the rear doors and two sun visors with vanity mirrors

LOL... The 'special' glass is actually laminated infrared reflecting glass that reduces radiant heat, uv rays and noise. My 2001 S500 Sport is equipped with that plus the shades on the doors.

Installed after-market rear sun shade which fit well, a good option for those not go for tinting.

I try not to put the clips deep inside the cleft as afraid scratching the door panel. But still can hold the shades except close the door forcefully.

Looks like this kit includes the side windows that I need, as well as the rear window which I do not need as I have the power rear shade. Anyone needs just the rear window and interested in splitting the order up?

Wow, the fit is excellent. Actually way better than the oem sunshade. I really prefer sunshades rather than tinting due to sunshades being more easily removed. It will be nice if they can make them for the front doors as well.

Same here. Should probably ask them if they are willing to just sell the ones for the side. By the way, I just e-mailed a company in Germany last week and got a prompt e-mail informing me that similar product for W212 will be available in the upcoming weeks. However, the one above is priced less. The company is "Windesa" and also sells on ebay where I found them. Windesa also has a website if you google it. I believe the merchant name on ebay is also "Windesa."

So does any company have similar offerings here in the States? I'm sure the shipping will be much less here from within the US.

Actually I have contacted Windesa Company since April for the shade but they just keep on telling me W212 shades are producing. I gave up and ordered those from Privacy Shade.
Of course if its really available, i am sure Windesa make better quality one

Hmm, I have a feeling that Windesa is probably telling me the same thing, too. Windesa does have that one piece rear instead of two pieces. However, it probably doesn't matter to many of us having the auto rear sun shade.

I wonder if I should consider getting a c-class one from carshades.com.au. I'm sure it wouldn't fit as nicely as custom made ones for this car, but I'll likely take the shades with me in the future to fit to another car.

By the way, vanstyle.co.uk is also prompt in their reply. Unforunately, they cannot sell only the side panels. However, they are having a 15% discount sale until the end of July. Thus I'm also considering just buying from vanstyle. The overall quality looks look.

I checked with them and it comes as a package so I guess we just throw out the rear... I searched several times for any products like this and I could only locate W211 version.

I can see why they're a necessity to many though. It's an obvious cost-cutting for U.S models, which MBUSA does very much, very often.
Hi K-A,

Do you ever get pulled over for your tint in So Cal?
I haven't tinted my front windows as I am afraid that the cops will give me a ticket for it.

Alright, I called vanstyle.co.uk directly this AM and ordered a set. Can't wait for them to arrive before the next heat wave hits.
