Bluetooth audio is not an option under the audio tab in my 2011 E 350 bluetec..can this be added as a software upgrade by the dealer? My car was one an earlier build cars.. Tks in advance..

 

Interesting. It is an option on my 2011 Bluetec and works flawlessly with my iPhone. I dont remember where it was, but, I think it was under the media menu or by pressing DISK repeatedly to cycle through the media options.

 

Bluetooth is under the TEL menu, not the AUDIO menu.

 

It is under my Audio menu.

 

Works fine with mine.My nephew set it up...I'm pretty much helpless with stuff like that.

 

It's a software update. Take it to the dealer for service. Did mine a little while back. Works great.

 

Do a quick search and you'll find a few useful threads on the subject. One of these threads has a receipt posted by a member with the exact software update and discription you need to take to the dealer. Otherwise, when you go they will tell you there is no upgrade and that only the 2012 models have bluetooth (which is incorrect).

Ok I thought you were joking, sorry. It's a wireless connection, in this case, between your phone and the COMAND system that alleviates the need to connect you phone using a wire. The OP is looking to stream music using this method but before he can do that, he needs a software update.

 

I think if you have P2 package then you should have Bluetooth Audio enabled
