What price are you paying for the car? S/b a maximum of invoice right now.

e550 doesn't have the $1900 incentive that the 350 has and the residuals are weaker.

 

Not sure if I missed it... But did you even mention the year E550 you are purchasing?

Not sure if the 2012s are even out as i'm not current on that info... But the year would make a dramatic difference in price I would assume...

 

I'm not sure what the tax is but it looks like they aren't making much money on the financing. If the negotiated price looks good (and I don't know enough about W212's to comment on that) then you are getting a great deal.

It seems like M-B has really gotten their E550 and E63 inventories under control, as they are very un-willing to deal, in comparison to E350's, and in some cases, M-B isn't providing any Lease/Incentive support. When I "swapped" cars yesterday, I asked if they had any E550's to work numbers on, and they said they were out clear of E550's for 2011.

 

Well, I got 11K discount... selling price was 57K with MSRP of 68K.
2011 E550 inventory is almost gone but there are still few cars to choose from in So Cal.
Apparently there is an additional 4K dealer incentive to attract non-MBZ drivers, so if your garage includes any cars other then Benz you have a chance of getting even better deal!

 

Speaking of, how does this deal sound:

2011 E350, iridium silver, P1, and folding rear seats
MSRP: 55435 (including destination & delivery)
$579 per month with only first month payment due at signing
All fees and taxes rolled into monthly payments
Complimentary delivery of the car (dealer is out of town).

How did you get 12K miles a year? It's usually 10K.

 

I told them I needed 12K and they adjusted accordingly. They can go up to 15K per year on a lease. My buddy leased a C class for his wife with 15K per year.

 

Ah. Yeah I called them today to inquire about that. Apparently they don't offer any "discounts" on purchasing as a whole, you just have to pay the actual .25 per mile after 10K. Upside is that you get it rolled into you payment (minimal enough to be practically negligible), and downside is that if you don't use all of them, you just wasted more $$.

How much did the extra 2K run you a month?

 

To be honest, the fleet manager ran the numbers with 12K right off the bat.

 

Ah. What's interesting to me is how unable mine seemed to be willing/able to add a couple extra K miles a year, but he knocked off an equivalent amount of my payment instead.

I just did the math, and unless I did it wrong, .25 per mile for 2K extra miles comes out to $500 a year, which is roughly $41 extra a month.

I could have sworn that he was quoting me just $10-$15 extra a month for the extra mileage. Grr. 10K is stupid low, if you actually require some non-close-distances urban use for the car.
