Pics of my new 2011 in its finished/near finished form....

Yeah, I gotta just do the black roof. I've always went the cleaner routes with my previous cars, but am thinking of messing around with this one a little bit, with wrap namely, making it a lot more polarizing. Even had a thought of carbon fiber wrapping the exterior door b-pillars, and carbon fiber wrapping the roof rails, while wrapping the roof itself in gloss black. Could be cheesy, but could also be fun.
It looks great on white car, the converse of the E63, which has the sides of airdam with carbon fiber.
I'd like to take the chance on those mentioned "mods", as I think that in order to enjoy this car to my full ability, I have to act as if the real excuse to get into it, after my previous one, was to take it in a different direction to me.
I really love how it looks right now though, even though the look isn't as quick and easy to digest as my 2010's was. The rims have a look that's really new to me, on my own car, and one big plus that it has over the standard Sport wheels, is that the finish is a much nicer and sharper Machine finish, over the kind of flat silver finish of the non AMG wheels.

On a side note, I'm in Paris right now, and damn is it funny/weird/interesting to see all the S/E/C Class Taxi's. I feel like I see more S's than anything. For a Tourist I can't really speak on how it affects my perception of the cars/brand, other than it makes them incredibly common, and it instills confidence in their build/quality, however, it's pretty amazing that they are still considered Premium and prestigious cars out here, even with said extensive Taxi use. Seeing an actual owner with an E-Class is a very rare and surprising sight, even in wealthier areas, but seeing them as Taxi's is very common, lol. Totally different world out here.
). I can finally call it MY car and say that I feel like I am driving my dream car again. I also finally can say that I think this car (finally) looks even better than my venerable 2010, and a little more unique.I got the roof wrapped in gloss black, and on one hand, I'm not sure how I feel about the roof rails and shark-fin antenna being left white, but on the other, it makes it look a little original from the Pano look, and makes it obvious that the car does not have Pano (I don't want to pretend like I have Pano, I just want my roof to be the color black).
Hope you enjoy!

I wanted the rails wrapped, but they assured me that with the shape, and the plastic materials it's made of (head expansion, etc.) it would start pealing. So to do the rails I'd have to get them painted. If I do the shark-fin I can probably do them at the same time (gloss black paint, as the plasti-dip would only look decent on the fin IMO).

Yeah, I really just couldn't get myself to really fall for the car until I got that roof black, since I just loved that contrast of colors on my Pano car.
I actually have thought about how the mirrors would look black, and I think it'd look good, but I do really like the contrast of black and white in the mirror area (all black would look a bit more monotonous), but if you do it please post pics! I think it'd look pretty cool and unique!
I dunno, I'm gonna take it a day at a time. I've realized that you stay more interested in a car when you do things little by little. Fortunately I've gotten all the "bigger stuff" I want out of the way, so I can just do the smaller things little by little, if they annoy me or anything (still not sure if I actually like the white fin and/or spoiler up there, so I guess we'll see).
Yeah, the tails I gotta say don't come across that well in these pics.... They look overly dark and stand out a bit. In person they're a lot more subtle it seems. I halfway miss my old tinted tails (with the red parts tinted), but feel that these are a bit more fresh and "different" looking. If something happens to the tint on these, I might go back to my old way of tinting the red portion to see how I dig that again.
Thanks again.
Probably cleaner looking with either the stock white on top or wrapping as much of the white on top as possible.
Id go with the white stock top.
