Pics of my new 2011 in its finished/near finished form....

Alright, friends. Here she is in her probably finished form. Although, I think a black wrapped roof would really set it off, and complete the look. I went a different route this time, and took some chances on the rear taillights (which I think turned out excellent), and the front air dam being blacked out, which I'm not sure how much I like (love/hate type of thing so far), but it's easy to remove if I want to. Enjoy:

Thanks! Unfortunately, either the Tint shop, or the Dealer yesterday, left what looks like a slip of a razor blade (it actually looks like a cigarette burn, but it's not one) puncture on the upper part of my interior A-Pillar passenger side lining. Very small, and hard to notice, unless you lock eyes with it, but MAN does it pi$$ me off! I never get scuff marks/damage in my interior! Dammit! Maybe I'll just take it as a good luck charm/individuality mark.

Collateral damage, great. Did anyone even accept responsibility? Make them get you a new piece.

Yup. I actually noticed it on my way home, when I was far enough from the Tint Shop to not wanna go back. I have a busy weekend, then I leave to Europe for a week and a half next week. Not sure how I wanna handle it. Usually, these things are about impossible to prove, to places like Tint Shops, etc. However, I'd like to take it to them and tell them that it's there, and see if I can wiggle anything out. Problem is, I have to go, as I know calling does little to no good. At the same time, the Dealer can be a culprit too. Just gotta figure out if I want to take this head on. At the same time, them ripping out the piece, and installing a new one doesn't sound great either.

Grr. With all the work this car has had done to it already (more mechanics/modders have been near it than my 2010 had in 1 year), it was bound to happen I guess. It's really small, but it's there.

And thanks for the Comments fellas!

It's always the guy you see whose car's front wheels are caked in black brake dust, only run through a gas station car wash 3x's a year and never waxed that never breaks or when it does never suffers any collateral damage...I am convinced of this!!!

SPOT freaking on. My Chevy Malibu (which I am selling on Saturday, I think) has sat outside for over 2 years, washed maybe once every 3 months, filthy, not pampered, parked on a busy street, etc. etc. NO dents, and barely any, if any scratches. If I let my O.C.D craving Benz out of my sight for a second, all kinds of hell breaks loose.

Oh well, it's just a way of life. Hopefully the damn thing doesn't bug me too much. To be honest, I'm almost more concerned about passengers having a little "cigarette burn" looking thing in their line of sight, although 1: They probably won't notice or care, and 2: I rarely have passengers. I probably should just try and let it go, would be better for my soul.

Looks great Kevin! I am a fan of the front mod and sets off the car nicely. You should definitely black out the roof as well!!

What kind of tint did you use and what percent is it?

Taking Bets. 5-1 says K-A gets it fixed within a year.

Knowing K-A through his posts, he's way too **** about his car to let it go.

KA, any effect on the backup camera lighting at night time with the reverse whites tinted? If not, I may want to try that look too, I do sometimes feel it's a shame to cover up the red leds.

I like the w212s, look really good. I think the black sidemarker looks really out of place on a white car and sticks out more than the original orange. Have you considered painting it white or getting a clear version?

Surprised you haven't installed black wheels.. Have you considered that? I think black wheels on a while car look great if done right.

Razor blade slip that looks like a cigarette burn? It may just be a burn since a lot of tint shops use heat guns. The cone on those get extremely hot.

Thanks bud! Yeah, the roof will make it perfect I think! I just hate to spend more money on it, but what's my eye candy worth, eh? I guess I might as well. Probably shortly after I get back from Europe.

. Thanks man, and I clearly reveal myself too much on here, as I can't get away with lying! I already went downstairs late last night to start cleaning off the car..... Just like I did with my last car.

So far so good, I haven't driven it at night yet, but during daytime, it seemed fine. I'll update by tomorrow and let you know! The reverse light and blinkers shine through well, and I went with the lightest grade Tint they had (they had 3-4 levels, the "Medium" had an ugly brown hue, the light one has a more straight smoke tint to it, with a little purple-ish hue). I totally agree about the red LED's, that's my main reason for going with this. Same reason I wouldn't tint my bright a$$ HID's is the reason I thought against tinting my taillights this time. However, for the record, my GF said she likes my old tails a lot better, lol.

I actually really liked the gloss black markers on my last E, but maybe that's 'cause they coincided with the Pano Roof so well. On this car, I agree, I'm not sure as to how much I like them. Main reason I want to wrap them is to avoid having to order, install, etc. I almost went with a matte wrap over them (to match the front airdam), but I didn't think a matte look would be right from the side profile.

Yeah, I have. I really like the alloy look, and am iffy with black wheels. On one hand, they can look so hot, and on the other, sometimes IMO they look a little "cheap". Another factor is that I'd rather not throw that extra dough into the car, at least not yet, but if my wheels ever needed reconditioning or something, I might consider powercoating them.

That's probably it. It looks like someone took a little needle, and just slightly stabbed one upper area of the interior A-Pillar lining. I sat in the passenger seat, and it's really hard to tell, I mean, most would probably chalk it up to just a little natural defect or nick if they locked eyes with it, but it's annoying.

Sorry forgot o answer that.

Got 5% on the back 3 windows (darkest shade they had for non-metallic, solid black Tint), and 15% I believe, on the front two (1 shade lighter than the backs).

Simply for the sake of uniformity, why did you not get the same tint level all the way around the car?
