MPG Bar Graph?? Miles to Service??
Let's try a new defect I've stumbled on with my 2011 E550 Luxury, P2, Driver Assistance, Crazy Seats, Split Rear Fold-down Seats, Parktronic.
Re: the Current Fuel Consumption bar graph that purportedly displays your current fuel consumption graphically. On my car, cruising at 75 MPH, flat and level, cruise control, it consistently, long term, displays 40MPG, the max on the gauge.
I'd love it if it were true . . . IOW, the graph is ~wildly~ inaccurate. I know from a 3,000 mile trip that I get 27.6MPG on good highways, measured at the gas pump. The mpg display in the trip meter typically displays about 1MPG higher than that.
Normally, I don't care . . . I don't pay attention to the graphic Current Fuel Consumption display anyway. But it causes me to wonder if something else is affected and if a programming flash is due for that function.
Additionally, I constantly get a message that my first A service is due in 700 miles when it's really due in less than 560 miles. ????????????

You may get 40mpg in that environment, but then as soon as you stop and start off or slow down and speed up, you might suddenly get 12mpg. Then it averages out to the final tally. 1mpg off is about par for the course on MB's fuel economy calculators in my experience.

And there is no connection between the bar graph display, which is wildly off, and the computed mpg (on another page) which is typically about 1 mpg high compared to reality.
