Has anyone here ordered designo in the last few months?
Designo (interior in particular) became available on the E in the US in mid-Feb or so. Did anyone here place an order for it? I was under the impression that the entire interior package (including trim and wood wheel) was $3800 (on the 550) but I'm getting charged $3800 just for upgraded leather and headliner (and hopefully leather dash...) plus another $500 for wood wheel and $850 for designo (piano black) trim.
I'm very happy that the program is offered in the first place so I'm not looking to make a big deal out of this, but seems like there's some miscommunication between MBUSA and me. Was wondering if anyone has experience with this. Thanks!

What's your point? You either get or you don't. Who cares what others do. I don't think MB is putting a gun to your head. Just be thankful you can consider buying an MB. 99% of the general population can't even imagine it yet buy one.

While not completely clear from the OP, it's clear enough reading between the lines that I've already ordered it. I'm looking to get a price check because upon receipt of the car, the listed MSRP is higher than my expectation.

There was a thread posted a few days ago about a limited edition interior for the end of the 2011 model run. There was NO CHARGE for it. You might want to look into that. It sounded very nice. Regards. Ned.

I assume you've already contacted MB North America to get the "official" story? If that response is different than what your dealer is telling you, I'd ask the dealer to explain why there's a difference....
