close trunk with smart key?

one would think it would be there, after all you can press the buttons on the car for it... I agree for a $60k car its still missing quite a few options that I think should be there standard. I still get worked up about having to pay for extra option just to get the stupid rear seats holdable

Our car sticker price was $68k and even with all these bells its still missing quite a bit of things.
But in the end its a Benz and you pay for that and the build quality (will see). Honestly we did not find any other car that came close in looks and options. The BMW 5 was there, but too big for my wife. Audi looked way too plain. Any you say Lexus, well did you see the materials and finish of the new ES or even GS? Complete crap. The old 2004 RX330 my wife had before the Benz was far superior inside to the new Lexus lineup.

I think when you talk about 100k+ cars we are looking at completely deferent thing. Like comparing some top of the line Harmon Kardon Receiver to a separates setup with tube based amplifier and preamp. Its not even in the same ballpark. And yes the tube based audiophile gear will have many less options... but when you take a $40k Buick and it has same options then a $60k Benz, then it makes one wonder. I still would pick the Benz, clearly I have already, but why not stay far in front and ahead of the competition in terms of options? Even if they offered P3 package.
As it is now even with my P2 option package and other extras, they removed some of the options that were standard in the older model or like my 2003 CLK....
well yes, if you look at the great majority of the stripped down Es out there. Once you go for 4 matic and start loading it up with options that I think should be standard
then you get to 70k easy. And thats with no panoramic, and only one active driver seat... and thats MSRP sticker, not what I paid for it, far from it
