I drive the racism out of BadDebt. ;)
I have a CLK 320 with brabus 3.6....and its debadged, I also have an e46 M3 thats been debadged, and to top it off; my ducatti 1098 has been wrapped in CF vinyl so technically thats been de-badged too.

All comes down to personal taste....I can careless what the other person thinks...my car is comforting to me and thats what matters.

2010 E550 Coupe Arctic White P2 Appearance
The first thing I did to my Coupe is remove the dealer frame on the rear and remove the E550 on the trunk. I like the clean look and used just a thin plain black frame on the rear plate, looks the way I like her to look.

I also removed the Dealer plate that said "Mercedes-Benz" on it, for a non-texted chrome one.

I just don't like Text on cars usually, I treat them like a piece of art.

This is my take on the issue of badge or de-badge. It has seen on several forums.

Imagine that a badge signifies the size of your *******. Show it if you like or do not show it if it bothers you. A bigger ******* does not mean a better lover. It is the driver that counts! No puns intended.Women, if this offends you, replace the word "*******" with "breast."

End of Story. The question would not be asked if perception was not important unless it was for a survey of community thoughts.

Well, this thread has now moved from de-badging to ******* size. A sure-fire sign that this thread has run its course. So now I am really confused...So, if I de-badge my car my ******* will shrink and I will grow breasts?

That wouldn't be good...

Then I wouldn't be able to drive my car at all as I would be stuck at home playing with my breasts all day.

Love this forum. There's funny people out there! By the way, how do you add those emoticon to the thread. Sometimes words are not entertaining enough.

OMG, you guys would not last 10 minutes on the Corvette Forum :>
the "keep it stock" vs. "mod every detail" groups over there have threads that go on for YEARS!

Couple of my observations about debadging.
1. It's your car do what you want
2. If you open the questions up to why people do or don't, be mature enough to handle the answers...BOTH WAYS
3. Debadging seems to be a trend with younger buyers, and I tend to buy their argument that they are going after a clean look.
4. Debadging IS A WAY to hide your lower end vehicle, and it happens as often or more as those going after the clean look.
5. Badges has nothing to do with American vs. European. I lived in Europe for three years and some are just as tacky, weird, uncultured as any American...sometimes worse.

in the UK debadging a 'higher end' vehicle IS a safer alternative or you would be visited by unwelcomed people, threating your family, perhaps even worse as if you injure any of the people this might go against you in the court of law.

There has been too many incidents of vehicles that have been stolen this way.

So both the RS6 C6 and the E63 W212 are debadged...

Anyway I better go and play with my *******....
