That's it! That net along the edge is so useful and since it is elastic it conforms to odd sized things.

Funny thing about the floor net - many Audi/VW owners are buying them from MB because they are the same size but much cheaper than the nets from Audi or VW.

I was just thinking about which net to get for my GLK when I came upon this thread.

First I thought the floor net would better fit my needs but the more I thought about it, things tend to roll backwards & slam against the hatch more than sway. Plus a lot of time I get lazy & don't even put a floor net over something when it's available (in my other cars).

I can see the load sill being up all the time & I just drop things in the trunk & go.

The crates are the real solution. They store flat in the garage, and open up easily for use. Three of them fit perfectly across the back of an E class sedan trunk, and moving the middle one forward half way creates a fourth captive area for groceries. In all, no more bottles of red wine scattering across the trunk floor and banging around, etc., etc., etc.

If I have a criticism, it's that the ends should snap in place a little more firmly when the crate is opened up, but once you know that, it's no big deal, and it's no problem if the crate is loaded anyway.

Nice. Going to get a set of these!

check out this site and they have a lot other parts/accessories. but i don't think it's a good deal if you just buy a crate online. $20 at the dealer and ask for a slight discount nicely. they could give you tax-free or 10-20%. better than get in online for $4 less but pay for the shipping. anyhow, here is the link: http://www.parts.com/accessories/index.cfm

What are the dimensions of the MB crate? The Container store ones are $19 and are 20-1/2" x 14" x 10-1/2" h. I bought a bunch and they are SO useful...

DEADBEAT indeed!!

That's a great vanity plate you have. You're in the music business aren't you? It works on a number of levels, especially driving a Benz. Very creative.

I do see a lot of smiles in my rearview......and have even seen a few
camera phones being used too........either to try & report me for something, (lol) or to show their friends, haha......I told someone once that asked me why I had that on my plate and I said 'because I'm a Coroner" and just left it at that.....

The MBZ crates are 18" x 13-1/8" x 9" high. They do not have lids, which may explain the variance to the containerstore product's dimensions.

The MBZ crates fit precisely three across the interior of a 2011 E class trunk.

More like 2". Because they "spoon" a bit, three of them are 5-1/4" high.
