Collapsible Shopping Crates
First I thought the floor net would better fit my needs but the more I thought about it, things tend to roll backwards & slam against the hatch more than sway. Plus a lot of time I get lazy & don't even put a floor net over something when it's available (in my other cars).
I can see the load sill being up all the time & I just drop things in the trunk & go.
When the wife (or husband) has groceries loaded in those sloppy, slippery plastic bags and dumps them in the trunk, all hell breaks loose on the drive home.
The crates are the real solution. They store flat in the garage, and open up easily for use. Three of them fit perfectly across the back of an E class sedan trunk, and moving the middle one forward half way creates a fourth captive area for groceries. In all, no more bottles of red wine scattering across the trunk floor and banging around, etc., etc., etc.
If I have a criticism, it's that the ends should snap in place a little more firmly when the crate is opened up, but once you know that, it's no big deal, and it's no problem if the crate is loaded anyway.

but I did just notice I don't have any anchor rings on my nubs back there in the trunk.......amg has them, you know for the floor net thing.......anyone else missing those things??

camera phones being used too........either to try & report me for something, (lol) or to show their friends, haha......I told someone once that asked me why I had that on my plate and I said 'because I'm a Coroner" and just left it at that.....

That's inventive too!
The MBZ crates fit precisely three across the interior of a 2011 E class trunk.
. so i assume it's about 3" high when folded, right? reason why i'm asking is i have my golf bag in the trunk all the time.
that's it though......
