I like these as well. The problem is the offset. Many here say they won't work but the sit says they will fit flush. Anywhere else to get these with a higher offset or will these work fine?
not a fan of the first set, but these are much better.

seems like EVERYONE has the five spokers, myslef included, but I have some
10 spokers on my amg that look brillant! and 2012's are coming with 10 spokers
too...(amg's)....it would look good and different from the rest of us if you got the 'full face'
wheels.........
the Vossens you mentioned() are a very good choice too........have some of those and love them....
I really like this concave business
those cv1's look so good on my car!

make sure to post up when you're done!

They should have some new design's sooner or later.

Those that run 20's, do you recommend a drop? I have a sport and have some h&r's on order

Based on what others have here, I think most tiny. the problem for me is that i don't really see this car as sporty but more classy. I think the a5 and the 5 series have a much more sporty look and sportier wheels will work well with those cars.
I think full face wheels are fine on the W212 since its an even bigger car and a proper VIP platform. It also will help cover up smaller brakes. A big open face wheel shows brakes. I agree there are more lines but I think a full face is fine.

I really like the cv1's. Those are my favorite out of the vossen wheels. The cv2's don't look that bad either. Any new designs planned in the near future?

Can you send me a pic of your e coupe? I still feel the full face will look nice because of size of the car.

I have the same setup with 20x9 in front and back and have mine lowered. No rubbing whatsoever.

I'd keep looking for wheels.....pass on the full (fuller) hub...

Thanks! How have your 20's been in general here in the bay area? I live in the bay area as well and I know for the most part our roads are decent.

OT: tires.

While 265/30-20 rear is the size I'd use, I would never use 245/30-20 front. Minimum 255/30-20 or better yet 235/35-20. As was discussed many times here before, the ideal(safe) front size of 245/35-20 unfortunately produces some rubbing.

Not in my experience. The airmatic sits differently when parked depending on what setting it was parked in (sport vs comfort). When it is parked in sport is lets out the air and levels itself pretty low. It does the same with comfort but not as much so it sits higher. I've never seen a 350's suspension ever sit as low as mine when parked in sport. This was one of the reasons I was dead set on lowering the car cause of the space the 350's had between tire and fender but I never got to see a 550 in person. I think when the 550's are moving down the road they raise to around the same ride height as the 350 as I notice their similiar stance when I first get out of my car. As you will notice in the KW thread, his after pic (lowered) sits exactly where mine does when parked, in sport mode of course. This is a pic of my car parked in sport mode, it's a little hard to tell exact spacing but you can tell the car sits lower than a 350. It drops about 1/2 inch (guestimate) when parked. The vossen wagon up above I bet is a 550 parked in sport mode. Look where it sits. That's exactly where mine sits.

Sorry but pass on OPs first set of wheels.

I like the first 2 posted/made by Vossens...

There are a ton of better options out there. If you are gonna spend the cash, do it right.

Otherwise stay stock.

I'm happy with them...I thought I would lose more comfort with 20's. And you are fine with 245/30-20 up front....no rubbing or safety issues.

Both of these wheels come on the CL class and after seeing a few pics with both styles of wheels on them, I decided to go with my second choice ( the black split fork ones). I think those will look nicer overall and the black will match the other gloss black parts and will be much eaiser to wash. I'm going to chance it with 35 offset ( shops all said they will fit). My h&r springs are in so I'll install those first and then get the wheels so I don't have any rubbing issues with the tires later.

Japan's Wald Duchatlet II (very hard to find and very similar to now discontinued HRE 544R and OZ Opera II). Same very expensive pricing as HRE.

Since the E class is a fairly long car, I feel these "chunky" wheels will go well. I'm not sure what era these are from though.
Our E-class has the factory 5 spoke rims and it looks timeless but a more updated look may be required. The 10 spoke rims might do the trick!

Was out of town and looked at the springs, only to find they are for the coupe. I'll be sending these back but it got me thinking if i really want to lower it?

Seems like the recommended tires will be a bit taller. Will that make the gap less noticeable?
