2012 sport wheels vs amg package

What are the thoughts on the new 2012 sport pkg wheels... not the AMG 5 spokes. Can't make up my mind which I like better. I know you get a more sporty steering wheel in the amg pkg, but not considering that was wondering everyones thoughts on the new stock design.

well they're certainly a bit different to my eye with the A sym going huh?
I wonder what they do when the car is moving? not that it benefit's the drivers view much......I guess I don't know enough about MB's history design to really say....
I could get used to them, but my first impression is: nah......
there are so many great aftermarket wheels to choose from these days too....

good luck!

It depends. If the car otherwise has the options I'd want then I wouldn't let the wheels stop me.

I have certain options that I want and may have to order...aside from that, I had originally been up fro the 5 spoke AMG, and get the 3 spoke steering wheel. Sometimes I think the 5 spoke AMG's just make the tires look too skinny...and too much brake rotor showing. Guess I'm screwed up in the head with the visual. I really am not interested in dealing with aftermarket...I do wish these wheels were more symetrical. Oh well.

I found the wheels you're referencing to look much better in person than in photographs. A bit more "formal" sporty and different from the norm.

Exactly why Im ditching the OEM rims which are not AMG's which my car originally came with.Somehow during the first 12k miles of its life,,they disappeared.
Its the options that I shopped,,then the color, etc.

Absolutely hate them on the Sport Package, but think they'd look great and perfect on a Luxury Package. They look very small too, visually smaller than the AMG 18's and the original Sport wheels (the flat faced "blade" type 5-spokes). Also, I can't stand asymmetrical shapes usually.
