I too am in the market for a 2010/2011 E350. Will start serious looking and purchase next spring. I did come across a 2010 E3504M with 48k miles and the asking price was $35,000. Now since the new year is here and more 2012's are conning out. Planned on spending alot more but my God when I see one at $35,000 I bet I can get one even cheaper by spring? Seems pretty logical to me.

Damn... this post depresses me and the resale value of my 2010 E350. I put down around $15K and paid down around $10K since I bought it Nov 2009 and I'm only like $3-5K away from being upside down!! Oh well I still love driving it everyday I get in it, theres nothing like hitting traffic and just turning on the distronic and relaxing to my HK sound system while everyone else stresses out.

Man MN must just be a horrible market for used Benz.....was just out at the dealer wandering the lot and found another great looking '10 E350, from what i could see it looked like P1, pano roof, AMG wheels, no window sticker telling me much else, but they want $45k for it......where the $35k ones?! lol

Yeah, just the price you pay for being an early adopter. My 2010 was MUCH more expensive than my 2011, as well.

We have the memories of having these sexy babies since they first hit the roads though, so that's gotta count for something.

BTW guys, blame the erratic resale on MBUSA's insane price slashing. Not easy to maintain a proper and consistent resale value when these guys are giving E-Classes away for 20% off MSRP like it's nothing. It eradicated dignity to the cars therefore eradicating said "dignity" from the resale value.

As the years go on, the deprecation slows down, it's always worst at the beginning. I also see lots of 2010 E350's being sold at Dealers well within the $40's, easily.

The $35,000 ones I have seen where at dealerships in New York. Not only the city but the state in general. Also these are not CPO cars and would come with a dealer warranty at most. Here is one example. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...nal&listType=1

Pardon me. They seem to lower it to $32,995

I would not buy from them. I know this dealership. Those guys play games with speedometer. Also, advertised price only if you finance with them. I would check interest rate they offer.

They're also saying it has leather but the interior shown in the video is MBTex.

Every Dealers says "Leather". Everybody assume MB-Tex is Leather, nor do they even know what MB-Tex is, so you'll usually see "Leather" describing the seating on everything from a C300 up on Used Ads.

New York metro area cars also have the potential to be a bit more beat up than the average car due to the roads. It is generally hard to find out what kind of life the vehicle lived but it might have been a tough one!! Did it live and drive around Brooklyn or live its life in Westchester? And if it lived in Westchester, where did it drive day in and day out? Hard to know. Regards. Ned.

That car does look worn out already. The steering wheel looks disgusting with all that shine. Say goodbye to the sanctity of the Nappa.

I wasn't suggesting that you absolutely can't buy a NYC metro area used car. Just be as careful as possible. Try to find a car that was traded in to the dealer out on Long Island or in Westchester that was driven locally with low mileage. Regards. Ned.

I just picked up a used 2010 CPO with 22k miles (AMG sport package, P1 and wheel package). I paid a few cups of coffee under $40k for it (plus tax etc). And I had to kick, scream and fight to get that price too. Sticker on it was nearly $46k (which was way high imo). Most dealers were offering similar cars for $43k but would only come off that price by about $1k.

I went to a lot of dealers and looked at a lot of cars and the best price I was getting was around $42k if the mileage was under 30k. If the car had 40k miles I was getting them down to around $38k. I thought I should have been able to do better but there is just not enough of the 2010s on the lots to bargain yet.

You are getting one hell of a car for around $40,000. Is it possible that you could have waited and gotten it for less or beat the salesman up for a few more bucks? No doubt. But why make him feel like crap. You got yourself a great car and everyone feels good. An e350 with 22,000 miles should serve you well for many years to come. Enjoy!! Regards. Ned.

this one sounds like a better buy than tflg's even with a bit more mileages. if tflg could get his for less than $40k w/a higher asking price, i'm quite sure you can do a better number. good luck and let us know how it goes .

Yea my plan is to get them down to around 40, plus see what i can get as returning customer, few bonuses they have running. Goal is to get my C300 traded, and refinance whats outstanding to roll in with the difference for the E, extend it out a bit maybe, and hopefully end up with roughly the same payments, just tacking on a extra year or so...

There's some pretty good finacing rates available right now. I got 2.94% from BofA which beat anything MB finacial was offering me.

Rough calculation on BoA's website, 40k auto loan, estimate 27k trade in on my car, owing 29 on it still (man i hate devaluation) 84 months @2.94% gives $527 a month, $25 more then what im paying now for my C......if i can get that rate on that long a loan, ill totally trade! Waiting to hear back from my contact at the dealer

i think you should try $38k or even less especially you are a return, loyal customer.

Is under 38 really doable for a p2 loaded one like this? That seems really low to me

i think it depends on the relationship between the dealer and you and/or how good you are with bargaining. i think it's doable if they have lots of used cars on their lot. not hurt to try as all/most dealers like to play number games anyway. good luck .
