Swirl marks galore on glossy B-Pillar trim. Best way to get out?
To be honest, I had this mod in mind when I first got my 2011, searching for cheaper ways (stickers.... though tastefully is the plan) to make it further stand out. I always liked the CF pillars on the W210 E55's and W202 Sport C-Classes, so technically it's been on a Merc before. Finally, it'll just cost a $100 or so, so why not experiment.

I have some of this (3m Di Noc Carbon Fiber Glossy). Its supposed to be the best. Mine is brand new and I just got it. I was going to wrap my rear wing then decided to just buy a real CF wing instead. . If you want enough for the pillars, I'll send it to you. PM me your address.
I figure I'll go check it out for myself tomorrow to at least see how I'd like it in person, and then let you know if that's cool. If they offer to do it for cheap enough I just might take it, but if not I'd love to take you up on that offer.

Yes I can spare enough for the window separators too. Just let me know.

BTW, how does the Di-Noc glossy wrap look to you? Seeing as to how you have a good eye from having real CF on your spoiler. I'm hoping that it's glossy enough, as that portion needs some gloss IMO (matte doesn't look good there), and from what I remember, the 3M CF Gloss has a not tooo-glossy, but just enough look. Also, I just LOVE the texture of it. Very well recommended by a lot of people.

As for comparison to my carbon fiber wing, the wing has a thick clear coat on it. The Di-Noc does not. That is aesthetically obvious when you look at them together. With that said, I would have no problem using this on my car with the genuine carbon fiber wing too. It would be a good look.

HUGE thanks to ENZO THECAT for being a very generous human being and providing me with the material to allow me to give myself the ultimate reason to go ahead with this questionable mod which I am actually very happy with.
I had some hard water spots that hardened in the sun for the past few weeks on the black pillars and I applied some Meguiar's Cleaner Wax on one of Meguiar's soft yellow pads by hand with very light pressure to avoid swirls and it removed all the water spots!
So...check your pillars! To restore them back to new, try some cleaner wax. Note: Before I tried using the cleaner wax, I tried a clay bar w/Quik Detailer as well as a 50-50 vinegar-water solution to remove the spots to NO avail.
Oh well, mine are all wrapped up, and I'm still happy with the look, though I wouldn't say it's better or worse than the gloss black trim. Sometimes I think it's worse, sometimes better, but I do think it works with my car and gives it some extra individuality/uniqueness.
