Media Interface Plus
Hi all,
1. Wanted to buy and install Media Interface Plus (MIP) for E350 - 2010 and was looking at compatibility, found things like MY09, MY10, W/S 212, what these mean?
2. My car does not have Media interface plug in the glove compartment, how easy is to install one? Any idea about the cost (In Canada)?
3. Does this MIP work with Video in motion?

mjahani: My 2012 E550 did not come with media interface from the factory, even it is suppose to be a standard feature. Apparently it will be very costly and labour intensive according to my Sales Manager and Tech Service. In order to have Media Interface installed on a Canadian spec. car if it does not come from factory, according to them you have to takes the command system out, seats out, run the cables under the carpet, take the dash out and fiddle around with lot of wiring...anyways that is the response I got from my dealership, check with a service technician in your area...also read the thread I started earlier (link mentioned below) when I found out my 2012 E550 did not have media interface installed.
