LED.DRL only Locator lighting
Tonight I was in a parking lot entering my car when an older gentleman with a w212 parked across from me unlocked his car... Instead of the headlights and LED DRL's going on, just the LED DRL's went on ("hockey stick styled"), and they were on full brightness as if it were day time. Also, it was a P1 packaged vehicle as the headlights were not HID. Is there anyway I can get my w212 to do this when I unlock the car? (I have a 2011 sport).

I don't think so...Two of my neighbors across the street have 3 E classes in total. Only one of them has LED's and that one is an early build 2011 sport version with premium 1 package. At night, I noticed that when he unlocked his car at night, the halogens and LED's both turned on!
My car is a late 2011 build (built 7/11) and whenever I unlock my car at night, all that comes on is the inner parking lights and the LED's at full volume. I wish my car turned both the headlights and LED's on when I parked for extra illumination, but sadly, I haven't been able to figure that out yet.
I think MB changed the programming when they started building in 7/11. They put in the color display, the new COMAND NTG 4.5, made the rear headrests non-adjustable (now, you can't move the headrests forward and backward, just up and down), and I guess now, they also changed the programming for the locator lighting.

Read the Operator's Manual on settings for lights. Should be an option in the display that shows up in the speedometer. My 2010 with P1 has a locator lighting enabled or not enabled option. Enabled has puddle lights on mirrors and other exterior lighting, but I don't use it.
