I know a lot of you already know this, but this is my first MB.

It was time to replace my wife's 14 year old Infiniti I30. We always buy used and she thought it was time for her to have a "really nice car"

We looked at the usual suspects, 5 Series, A6 and finally the E350. There were things she didn't like on the test drive (vague feeling, not connected to the road as the 5 series) but still liked it.

Then I found a 2010 with P2 and Sport package. That gave the options we wanted (keyless go, xenon lights) and the handling feeling without being a tooth rattler (like my brother in law's 335 and Boxter Spyder).

I took delivery yesterday and it took a bit longer than expected, so I had to hurry a bit to get the kids from pre-school in time. I knew I was moving a bit, but the car was solid and silent, then I look down 104MPH.

Oops. Dialed it back a bit. I thought I was doing mid 80's.

Gave my wife the 30 second this is what you need to know to get to work tomorrow lesson, but we are looking forward to learning all the ins and outs this weekend.

This board was a huge resource for me in selecting the car and so I thank you all!!

congrats on the new ride. I purchased the same but P1 last month and i am loving the car. I drove it from Athens, GA to Orlando, FL and a few times I was +100MPH and it was solid as a rock. Also did it on ONE tank of gas which was very impressive since my daily commute was a Chrysler 300C. That hemi and the way I drove the car got me about 11MPG

MB cars are designed for autobahns where every one is going 120+mph. I will disappoint you with one thing you will never buy Asian cars again, you will stick with MB and BMW only, these cars are very addictive.

+1. Once you go German it's impossible to go back. And this stands true from the MKIV Jetta all the way to the S-class. There is just something about the way Germans do cars.

100% agree my first car Toyota camry - then new Honda Accord - Lexus ES350

Move to mercedes E350 2009 loved it so much move to E350 2012

I will never go back to Toyota or Honda or Nissan again for sure it going to Mercedes - BMW -

I change my cars every 3 - 4 years lol

Congrats on the acquisition. I would have kept my 2010 E350 4MATIC Sport if it was a P2. My 2012 is the same car but P2. Enjoy!
