Good to know. This BlueTec is rock solid car if there is such a car in the world. I am fully satisfied with the purchase. Don't have problems finding diesel fuel either. Paying 15 cents more per gal than premium gasoline.

Love mine as well. Wife drives on '09 ML BTC which I love too despite some technical issues with the AdBlue tank. '12 E350 BTC just drives so much better obviously and love the engine.

The DEF thing doesn't bother me at all. Wish they could have worked it out to still have a spare but the runflats themselves don't bother me comparing them to non-run flats on the gasoline models on both cars, the road noise and ride quality difference weren't noticeable for me in normal driving. Only concern is long trips out of town on the weekend and at night etc. Knock on wood no problems with the tires yet on either car and keep an eye on the pressure.

I am thinking of buying tire slime to put in the car during long trips, incase I pick up a nail and need to drive more then 50 miles. Any thoughts on this? Read its now TPMS safe but not sure about the applicable in a run flat?

I bought tire insurance at a nationwide chain American tire that include balance, rotation and replacement tire in case they can't repair, only about $160 for life of the tire. Because of runflat tire, I bought the insurance. They carry all kinds of tires and I believe they are larger than Costco chain.
The more I drive the BlueTec, the more I like. Feeling like a kid with this baby!
