Question TIRE NOISE?

I am test driving a 2011 E350 sport pkg with Conti on. Is this the best most quiet tire for this model? It seems very loud?

Thx

I have Pirelli PZero Nero original equipment tires on a 2010 E350 4Matic Sport. They hold the road and corner well. Quiet on a smooth road. If there is any roughness to the road or a grooved surface which is common in our area they are the loudest tires I have ever had on dozens of vehicles and many sets of tires. They roar on rough pavement.

I found the P-Zero's to be even louder. Unfortunately, loud tire noise is prevalent on all W212's, that and the stupidly rough suspension over rough roads (whilst being smooth and even-floaty-ish, i.e totally appropriate and perfect on smooth roads) are by far my only true and biggest complaints about this car. I don't get why a car with exaggerated body roll in even moderately hard corning feel that sports-car-rough characteristics and loud road noise over rough patches are necessary.

The best tires I've ever had an any E-Class was the Michellin Pilots. Loved them ! I have the Pirelli P-Zero Nero's on my current E and they are nice and grippy in dry/wet but a little slippery in the snow. And the sidewalls are too thin and they are prone to bubbling and tearing when hitting potholes. Road noise is not an issue on the highway but the Michellin's were far superior.
