Whatever % you decide on, I think it's important that it be the same all around. Many times people will put darker on the rear than the front. Presumably it's to stay legal but the look just ruins the continuity of the design IMHO.

I love this forum, and I love the opportunity to share our differences.

Personally, I could never drive a vehicle the way it came off the assembly line. I do appreciate each and everyone who does, but that is not my cup of tea. I used one analogy in a previous post, but here is another one. Some guys go out at night in a $500 suit while others go out in levis and a tee shirt. It doesn't make one better than the other, it just makes each unique to the other. That my friend, is what makes America...America. Have a fantastic weekend!

I'm a member on this board since 2007, the fact that I didn't posted doesn't make me a newbie.

American or not you need to learn treat others with respect. Your lack of respect makes you a newbie no matter how long you have been a member. May I ask, what is your nationality Dan98?

duc1098e500, there are lurkers and there are post ******. the only thing i agree w/dan98 is he/she didn't post don't make him/her a newbie. however, a person has no class, doesn't matter what nationality or how wealthy he/she is, that person still has no class .

That's the stock trim that comes on the car.

In bright sun it looks more chrome but it's actually a very elegantly finished aluminum (even nicer than bright chrome in those areas, IMO).

Out of respect ? When I criticize someone's car tint suddenly I'm out of respect ?

I'm sorry then, maybe I should have kept my mouth shout and laugh my *** of in front of my computer, but hey it's a forum and since people express their oppinions in writing I thought it would be OK to write my thoughts.

I'm italian, but that's not relevant at all.

hyperion667: again, what exactly is your problem ? I really don't get it why am I being rude. Maybe because I'm being honest and said what I really don't give a crap to people who brag online about wars ? Not my business, not my war > not impressed, sorry folks.

dan98, i'm not trying to start a heated conversation with you but how do you feel by reading what i've written above? you can tell me you don't feel anything but everybody is different. and most of the people in this forum love their cars and treat them like their second wife/girlfriend, i'm sure you are one of them as well. you can express your opinions and that's what a forum for. but you can also have it in a nice way. if someone tells you your wife is the ugliest in italy or whatever country you are in, will you be happy and ok with it? if you want people to respect you, you need to learn how to respect others first. you can disagree with whatever i said and once again, i'm not trying to argue with you. i just want this forum to be a peaceful place for all the car enthusiasts to enjoy .

I believe you when you say you meant it in a friendly way. But the same emotions/intentions that are easily expressed verbally are much more difficult to express in words only. It's usually best to tone things down a notch or two in writing. Especially since we haven't had a chance to get to know you yet.

Just my unsolicited advice.

Don

Both positive and negative critiques of those of us' who dare share our cars with the world on these Message Boards are very necessary and should be completely acceptable.

Of course, the way in which those critiques are expressed are more subject to.... criticism.

Here is mine with 20% on the back 5 windows & 35% on the front 2...nothing on the windshield.

It is illegal to have any tint on the front 3 where i live, but it hasn't been enforced much except in the past few months. There's one douchebag handing out tint tickets every chance he gets.

35% is legal on the fronts in over 30 states and 1 CDN province...i'm working on having our tint law reviewed, as it's from 1987.

Tint

Older pics.. but 20% on all windows except the windshield. I like the uniformity of the "one window" look and felt that it would have had a lessened impact if I had different opacities with the front and rear windows:
