replace storage bin on front of seat bottoms

replace storage bin on front of seat bottoms
The storage bin on the passenger side seat is driving my wife nuts. I assume (haven't looked) that it's pretty easy to remove, but near as I can tell there is just some sort of ugly cloth under it.
Does anyone have any suggestions....2011 e350? Is there anything on the market that would replace it with something that doesn't stick out so far?

At first...I kept on hitting it and it popped open a few times on the driver side...but now, it hasn't happened for awhile.
My wife hasn't complained yet about the passenger side...LOL!!
I would assume its easy to remove...haven't looked.

Is the problem that it comes open or that the back of her legs touch it?
Mine occasionally comes open, but if I close it forcefully, it doesn't. Find it very handy.
When I first got my car, the pressure on the back of my calves bothered me when I had it in cruise control. However, I tilted the back of the seat up some and this moved the box to where I can no longer feel it.

I'll have to say, when I first got the "E" my wife had a problem, everytime she got in the car her thigh would hit the opening to the compartment and it would pop open. She complained about it for approx half dozen times and then she must have "broke the code" on how to manuever her legs. She has not had any problems with it since. As a matter of fact she keeps her sun glasses in it now. I keep my Ruger 9mm in mine. It's a perfect fit.
I fully understand your comment Ghstudio. MY wife is also rather small, 5'3" and 115 lbs. I can see how a small person has a problem with the compartment in front of the seat. My wife still doesn't like it but at least she doesn't complain anymore. Good luck with yours.
