Sirius Satellite problems...
Anyone ever experience "no service" on their satellite input? It usually happens when I first start the car...later in the day, if that makes any sense. It will not get a signal for at least 10 minutes then it will work fine. It doesn't matter where I am...even in a wide open space where I normally always receive service.
I am not sure if it is the car or Sirius....

Call Sirius and have them re-send the signal to the car. It should re-set the system.

No issues whatever with the service,,only an occasional dead spot on a bridge I cross daily,,but its been fine, and I even got a renewal for cheap.

Apart from getting an occasional dead spot...near tall buildings, hills, etc (which is completely understandable)...I've only had one or two small problems with Sirius.A friend of mine has Direct TV and any time there's a thunderstorm anywhere nearby the signal goes in and out until the storm passes.Satellite broadcasting technology isn't perfect...probably never will be.

Although the music channels aren't worth much other channels are pretty good.News...talk...comedy...old radio shows...and other stuff.Last year I found it really cool that I could listen to a Patriots game in Ohio and last month I listened to a couple of Bruins games in the Southeast. However,I don't find it *nearly* cool enough to justify the list prices they quote.Unless they give me a deal (just got 6 months for $25) I'll do without it.

Let's see, you drive a $60 000 - $70 000 car and it is not worth to pay $250 or so for two years of radio service?
I have it as I do listen news a lot and as I drive hundreds of miles one way on my trips it is very nice as I don't have to chase channels at all times. And NFL or NASCAR channels are cool to listen to too.
And as it is in the car, you have it if someone riding with you asks for it. For that one moment you want to have it instead of telling them "Sorry, I can't afford Sirius radio as I paid so much for this car".

$250 may be the *list* price for two years of service but you needn't pay *nearly* that much.Just google "getting deals for Sirius service" (or something along those lines) and you'll see how to do it.

I would not pay a dime for Sirius. I use the free versions of Pandora, ooTunes, and others. I pay $10 per month for Rhapsody. I have my entire music collection in iCloud. All Bluestreamed to the car. I think I can find something my passengers like.

Huh? What does the cost of the car have to do with whether I think it is worth paying for Sirius? And do I have to have *everything* a passenger might want?

It was Raymond Lee that I replied to, he was questioning if Sirius was worth paying for.
In my opinion it is very much worth paying for but perhaps not for you. You have all your music on your mass storage devices and you listen to internet radios. Good for you.
One question: How would it make all of the other music sources you have sound worse if you could afford paying for Sirius radio that would be quiet in the system but ready to sound if that one moment came to use it?

I know what you mean. I never like the techs to remove any inner panels but, it seems to be absolutely necessary in all the resolutions of this problem in the coupe forum. I had my car in four times and it wasn't until they removed the headliner so they could check all the connections and wiring that they fixed the problem. It's been over a year and I have never experienced a dropped connection again. I have not had any problems with the pano sunshade and they seem to have gotten the headliner properly in place.

I get the "No Service" screen after a car wash or a heavy rain. It's spotty for a couple of hours and then once things dry out its all good again. It's definitely a bring it in issue but it seems like a hassel.
And, not chalking up the $12/month for 100+ channels of radio is like starting a thread asking if you really have to put premium gas in the tank. I pay $25 for the fiance's and my services and it 100% worth it to avoid standard radio.

No doubt the sound sucks...but if someone wants it, who cares?
I like it for long trips...something different than my music collection on my ipod. Sometimes I like to listen to some of the talk...even the Playboy channel lol
